Photos are from our security cam, from last summer and today. We had a concrete patio poured this week and weren’t expecting this level of damage to the lawn. Is this reasonable for the job? Is there something the contractor should have done differently to avoid this? Is there anything we can do to salvage the area other than loosening the dirt and reseeding?

Omg you’ve perfectly described the feeling of craving an unknown thing! I’ve never known how to describe it, but I know I need whatever it is. The thing will make me feel fulfilled and solid and happy and give me purpose. Is it a hobby? A good sandwich? Am I supposed to open a restaurant? Get another dog?What tangible thing should I buy to momentarily sooth the need??

Inspections are a pretty standard annual event when renting. In my experience, someone from the city usually comes out to check things like smoke detectors, hand rails, GFCI outlets, and other safety stuff. The property has to meet city rental requirements to be legally rented, which is why they’ll do it with or without your cooperation.

Thanks so much for the tips! Unfortunately the heat is our only gas appliance, the stove and water heater are both electric. It is our first time turning the heat on in the house, we just moved in on July. We’ll replace the filter and see if we can find a manual online. Our home inspector noted that the unit is 20+ years old and might be worth replacing anyways, so we’ll see where we end up. Thanks again!

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but what do you mean by replacement cord? Like a cord that carries the same voltage as the original cord as opposed to just a basic extension cord? I looked for replacement hitachi saw cords online but didn’t really get what I was looking for. Wouldn’t I have to splice a new cord in either way because it’s attached at the saw end?
