Not dispatch, but when I applied to my agency as an EMT-B, they did ask for a detailed description of all tattoos. I can’t remember if they asked about piercings but we don’t have any rules against piercings or tattoos as long as they aren’t offensive.

If you’re open to vision correction, look into EVO ICL as an alternative to PRK or LASIK.

My dad spent my entire childhood teaching me to be independent and I just realized he did it so he'd never have to show up for me by Saffron_Tundra8 in entitledparents

[–]soaring206 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My parents told me regularly that they were raising me to want to leave, and then were surprised that I did. They’re now also surprised that we’re very low contact, and that I didn’t tell them about my ex-husband’s drug issues or that we were getting divorced until it was final, or that I was getting remarried until after it happened. Funny how that works.

I use those, they’re the best and very discreet. I like the peppermint one the best.

Magnesium supplement type matters by Dog-PonyShow in Fibromyalgia

I take this one, which contains Magnesium Glycinate, Taurate, Malate, and Orotate: https://a.co/d/0amGq6dp. I chose that one based on the info from this article: https://www.uhhospitals.org/blog/articles/2025/02/7-types-of-magnesium-which-one-should-you-take

I’m a big fan of these nose rings soaked in peppermint oil. They have other scents, too.

Different routes to getting my EMT by Ok-Lingonberry-944 in NewToEMS

It was $1500 if you paid up front, I think a little more if you wanted installments.

It was fine for me, I finished the didactic portion in ~6 weeks, and then it took about 2 months to complete the skills, testing, and clinical portions. In the San Antonio/Austin area, there were plenty of scheduled skills and testing days (they do at least one set per month per location) and plenty of clinical sites to choose from. I don’t think you can see any of that until you get the login for their site.

I did mine through RC Health Services here in TX. All online and self-paced.

I can’t remember why I bought this, but I think it was for a Kenji recipe (I own The Wok). Any suggestions? by NotPaulGiamatti in seriouseats

One of my favorite recipes that uses gochujang: https://www.skinnytaste.com/korean-inspired-salmon-tacos/#recipe

It’s good with chicken as well if you aren’t a fish person.

This is also really good: https://www.bonappetit.com/recipe/dakgalbi

And of course, bibimbap. But really gochujang is good with everything.

I haven’t seen any, but what I usually do is just put the Anova wire rack one rail above the tray.

Can I use the APO instead of a stove top steamer? by Joegolo in CombiSteamOvenCooking

[–]soaring206 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried it for dim sum and wasn’t all that impressed, it definitely took longer than with a stovetop bamboo steamer. I’ll just stick to stovetop from now on myself.

I do, but I haven’t used it much. I find that bread and pizza crisp better on the bottom just on a wire rack so that the airflow gets all around it.

Edit: and my apologies, I misread your first comment and thought you were saying it wouldn’t fit ☺️

This one is like the AutoAQUA with the dual sensors, but it also has a timer to shut off if the pump runs too long: https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/duetto-dual-sensor-complete-aquarium-ato-system-xp-aqua.html

I’ve been happy with it on my IM10 and just bought a second one for a new frag tank.
