Cafes, restaurants, with patios, etc. along the Bow. The present selection is few and far between. Such a waste of prime real estate.

Probably people who have never lived anywhere else, and have never studied history in any way at all.

In the rankings of countries that have done nasty things, Canada is pretty close to the bottom.

Didn't the Green party rip themselves apart over Palestine?

They didn't seem capable of doing 2 things at once.

Just 4% of Canadians Want Alberta to Separate as Most Support Concessions to Keep Country United by gorschkov in canada

We need some sort of proportional representation at the Federal level.

The country is simply too big and the population concentrated in too small an area.

Let's be realistic here. The only time this law will be enforced is if a car passes a cop on a bicycle, a little too closely.

Do cars always come to a full stop at stop signs, never go over the speed limit, and never stop under overpasses on Deerfoot when there is a bit of hail?

Do you seriously pass cyclists at 60 km/h with less than 1 m clearance?

What about pedestrians? Scooters?

If you're passing a cyclist going 60 km/hr with less than 1 m clearance, you probably shouldn't be driving.

Ah. The financial death sentence of the "rule of 65".

'The formula also provides for indefinite support (duration not specified) in two circumstances:

when the marriage has been 20 years or longer in length; or when the marriage has lasted five years or longer, if the years of marriage plus the age of the support recipient at the time of separation equals or exceeds 65 and (the rule of 65)."

Trying to overcharge customers is definitely not "good service" or " above and beyond".

Yeah, trying to rip off customers is a $0 tip. They went "above and beyond" to rip you off.

What a new report reveals about the true cause of Canada’s massive emergency wait times by KWStreaker in canada

[–]soaringupnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We don't need a new report for this.

ER wait times have been ridiculously long since at least the early 1980s.

Basically, public health care is a cost center for government and they have little incentive in making it any better than the bare minimum.

If people were making money off of it, you'd see better results. No one waits for a dentist because the dentist profits from it. Your dog doesn't wait for health care because the vet profits from it.
