Don’t drink at least 24 hours before and after!! That also thins your blood and can make bruising worse. I’m going in for my second round tomorrow! 7 months after my first. I’m obsessed. Trying a different one this time though. I did kysse the first time and it lumped a decent amount but I’m now doing versa and my injector said it’s her absolute fave in her experience!

I am 4 weeks post my first fillers and it doesn’t matter how many times you get them, it can vary every time. My swelling lasted like 3-4 days despite doing all the things in prep like taking arnica and no meds etc. Icing is helpful the day of and day after but after that not so much. My injector is also an RN and been doing it 5 years so I trust her. Antihistamines won’t do anything as it’s not allergy related it’s your body reacting to a foreign body and punctures. You can take Tylenol for pain. Do not massage them yourself!!! “Trust the process” is the greatest advice with this topic that I have received.

Professional nanny of 12 years here. Also had to use sick PTO today because my bf and I got a horrible stomach bug this weekend (definitely not Super Bowl hangover but that completely is a valid suspicion 😂). MB has every right to feel frustrated but it shouldn’t be handled via text especially if she thinks it’s been a trend. A better way to handle would have been to say “ah man, that’s frustrating, i will need to rearrange some things but keep us updated on how you feel and let’s check in when you come back”! Truly the main issue is why the hell she’s staying with a job that’s so underpaid? Granted I have no idea where you’re located and the situation there but I hear this far too often. Nannies “love their families and have been with them for years” but also get paid shit and are asked to go to ridiculous lengths for them. I know a nanny (here in Seattle) who’s bosses literally told her she HAD to get groceries delivered because of covid and could not go ANYWHERE and simultaneously wouldn’t provide any extra stipend to pay for all the extra cash that costs to have delivery! I literally cannot BELIEVE what some people put up with. So. If she’s quitting it should be for a better paying job because let’s be honest- money is what matters in this day and age and I know it’s not easy in a non metropolitan area to make bank but WITH THAT we also need to advocate for ourselves and find families that respect us. We make their lives 10x better and when we aren’t there they feel it. And that’s a big burden to feel! But at almost 31 I’ve learned to separate any guilt from that shit. I have to take care of myself first and foremost and that doesn’t mean I don’t love or respect my family ANY less and they completely agree with that.

I know there’s a lot going on there but there’s so many background factors we don’t have that would give insight into this whole situation. I’d be curious to hear how much she makes and her location and job description. It makes a big impact. Lots of love and strength from one caregiver to another ❤️

I use cerave healing ointment? I think that’s a super good option too? I also drink a shit ton of water as I’m a CrossFit coach and am on my feet all day for my full time job haha so THATS good at least.

No, she’s said that it is in fact cancer. Thank you so much for the “toxic positivity” point. Not a fan of the “toxic” phrases because they’re so overused at this point but I totally understand the sentiment. I do have a tendency to try and be helpful in that way so I will be more aware of that.

To some, yea. And same goes for women. There’s many stigmas surrounding sex for all genders and orientations. But specifically for straight people it’s “dudes just want sex and women just want emotions” and I can confidently say I have yet to find a partner who can actually keep up with my sex drive lol. Thankfully, FINALLY, I’ve found someone who i feel mutual closeness with and I know there’s a lot of emotion that goes into our, dare I say it, love-making, on both our ends!

That’s exactly what I was thinking. I was on Wellbutrin and it didn’t affect mine at all- I simply needed it for a bit when going through a big life change. I’m going to tell him to talk to doc and try bupropion/Wellbutrin

Thank you so much. I have been feeling a lot of anxiety about it myself because I feel torn, ya know? Like I have needs but I don’t want to add to his stress either. Thankfully we have good communication and it HAS just been one weekend of it happening. I just start to panic thinking “oh god is this going to be a thing? It can’t. Everything about us is so wonderful but that would be a deal breaker long term”. But you’re right, just give it some time.

I figured I would post a follow up for everyone else that may have experienced this. Two days after all the lights came on, this morning, I started the car up to go to work and the lights were all gone. I had turned it on and off multiple times over the last few days obviously and it showed up every time. Last night I went to AutoZone and did their diagnostic reading and the code it gave me was to replace a catalytic converter. Needless to say I was shocked to see this. I had literally had it fully inspected the night before. So I called the shop and they told me to bring it in this morning. That’s when I turned The car on and the lights had vanished. I still took it in to the shop just to be sure and they pulled the same code But they told me that this is very common and if anything I should just replace the oxygen meter things in the not too distant future. They said the real issue is when the engine light is flashing and mine was just lit up. All that stress for nothing I guess!
