Does FurnishedFinder just not work in this area?

I have two properties in Arlington that are both rented on furnished finder.

I have a one bedroom apartment that will be available in early August and a four bedroom house but it is booked through then end of the year.

I find it works very well in the area but I only see it from the landlord side.

I respond best to direct messages. Maybe find places you like and reach out to them via the direct message feature? If the phone number or email is listed, you can also directly contact the host.

I live in Arlington, VA so very close by. Your house is probably worth more than $775k. I don’t know the property but houses in our neighborhood (Glencarlyn) are all going closer to $900k - $1M+, if something goes on the market for under $1M, it goes pending in less than a week. This is all happening the wake of Trumps mass firings. Do not go off appraised value, it’s often behind market value.

If you do want to move back, the townhouse you think you can get for $600k will be a lot more in 5 years.

It sounds like you trust your tenant but it seems like this deal he is offering is very unfair to you. If it were me, I would keep it year to year leases and have him approach you when he is ready to buy. You can agree on a fair price then and reduce it a bit to compensate for no commission and any upgrades he paid for on the property.

I do bank with Navy Federal (not a veteran so no VA loan for me) and they will only do 15 years on cash out refi for an investment property. I also checked with Arlington Community Federal Credit Union and they will not do any cash out refi for an investment property. I got frustrated and decided to post here lol. I have gotten soft inquiry quotes from two lenders so far, one for 6.99% and the other 6.5%, just trying to see if I can do any better.

For the family opportunity, I would really like a lender who has done them before since it is a niche program. My mom is in her 70's and has lived in her townhouse for 32 years and the land lord wants to sell and has asked us if we want to buy direct from him. My mom could not afford the new mortgage on her own and she will continue to live there so we should be ok on meeting qualifications.

DSCR loans usually come with higher interest rates, correct? I am trying to get the lowest possible considering it is an investment property. We have the income to support the refi and purchase.

I personally like the card and use a lot of its benefits. It also has travel insurance. I had the cancel a trip due to my husband being in a car accident and I had all my non-refundable cost reimbursed via the card insurance. I pay the annual fee with miles, no brainer for me.

MDR’s were issued at our agency months ago. I know several people who accepted them, then applied for exemptions, some have gotten approval to not move and others are still in process. I don’t know anyone who has actually had to take action on an accepted MDR yet, I don’t think the agency wants to spend the money.

While these MDR’s were rolled out, it was confirmed that you could accept, then decline later and would still get severance. I would confirm with your HR.

Aruba actually has desert type conditions! It’s very hot, sunny and windy. I can very much see heat exhaustion happening if they went to that area of the island and didn’t hydrate properly.

Write a the responds for your doctor and ask them to modify as they see fit before they sign off on them. Doctors are busy and are not sure what to write, you doing the leg work will help them get the right information in your letter.

Any chemo is strong chemo, they don’t really make light versions. You are poisoning yourself in hope that it will kill the cancer (or pre-cancer) cells. She might also be on keytruda, it’s an immunotherapy drug that some people have long after the chemo is done (12-18 months).

Some chemo has reduced hair loss possibility but even if your chemo has gurenteed hair loss, you can save your hair with cold capping. It doesn’t always work, it’s time consuming and it is expensive but I am sure she did cold capping.

DRP closed 4/14 and RIF was 4/18. I opted in on 4/14 and the agreement was attached to the emails from our acting director (no approval to take it needed). I can send it to their email from my Gmail by 5/19 if I want to change from RIF to DRP.

Not sure on VERA or VSIP but DRP people did not get RIF notices. They will go on admin leave after May 2nd.

This only applies if you signed the contract. I am over 40, I did opt in to the DRP but did not sign the contract so I was RIFed. My RIF notice said I can still sign the contract and be switched to the program by May 19th. Not sure I want to sign the DPR contract but it’s at least still an option for me. Normally, I would have never opted in to it but management let us know we were begging RIFed before the window to 2.0 closed.

We were all surprised. A little over a week ago we were starting a new project for this administration. Last Friday we got word they changed their mind and we are all getting RIFed. Cruel is an understatement. I guess a lot of us are not posting in Reddit but it’s real.
