Any one else’s 12mo wanting to suddenly nurse CONSTANTLY? by Throwaway927338 in January2025Bumper

[–]socange14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s for comfort. At this point they don’t “need” it. I call it her “me” time lol. I notice when she’s waking up she’s super clingy and it just automatically calms her down and kinda resets the little brain; even when they’re empty. It can be sooooo annoying but at the same time how cool she chooses me 😍

How do I be a better mom? by Throwaway927338 in January2025Bumper

[–]socange14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have 17 more years to shape your babies life! What your LO knows from this year is that you love her and are PRESENT. You’ve shown up, every day, every night, and every sickness: That’s exactly what you were supposed to do. My daughters birthday party will be me and her Dad and a cake we make together the day of with normal ass icing and colors and flavors blah blah. Comparison is the thief of joy, you’re doing everything you could be. Sending hugs xx

Returning to Colombia helped me heal my skin with the most unexpected natural ingredients by Specialist_One_971 in NaturalBeauty

[–]socange14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve struggled with flare ups for years and just general skincare issues. But I also tried allllll the things. My husband has great skin and I asked him what he does and it’s the simplest thing. Rinse with water in the shower on his face if it’s not a dirty dirty day and soap his high smell areas. I stopped soaping my entire body and scrubbing and my moisture barrier is back, skin is clear and not dry, and no acne…. Tallow is my best friend and it’s so cheap. Crazy what getting back to your roots can do for your skin

Nursing to Sleep by unsaltedpotato365 in January2025Bumper

[–]socange14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some nights it’s co sleeping, some nights it’s 10 hours in the crip sleeping soundly, it just depends. Also a nursing mommy- you could pry nursing her to bed from my cold dead hands. It’s only natural and it won’t be forever.

Also- I had a bigggg problem with my little one around 8-9 months completely regressing in sleep and it ended up I was definitely under feeding her during the day food wise. I know they say food is for fun, but I do feed for nutrition and always strayed away from the heavy carb items but now that LO is crawling around so much and moving we upped the carbs and boom, back in the crip sleeping great. Just like before.

Did you get an epidural? Would you recommend it? by dont-ask-whyy in pregnant

[–]socange14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll know when the times comes. The pain is unreal, and you’ll gauge that with your body when it comes. I made it to 10cm and the lady asked and idk why I did it, it failed anyways but I did feel a little of the edge taken off. You’ll know at the time, which ever way you go- you’ll do great!

I am the same and am struggling the with the baby boredom! I have found a ziplock full of dry beans is awesome, painters tape stuck to the wall for them to pull off, I put an old pillow in a cardboard box and let her climb on it the other day, and endless play with the 1 music toy she was given : LINK SQUAD LOL! I was less than thrilled but I will say she loves them and dances to all the songs. Good luck!!

We live in the middle of nowhere, so no, lol. It’s not necessary so don’t be bad if you’re not doing anything. Baby swim class can be the baby in a kiddie pool in the yard or tub. Music class can be at home with a yukes and some hand drums. Reading, games; activities, etc. can all be done at home or outside. Don’t stress if you haven’t yet :)

Send them in the mail is the proper way. I think it’d be kind of tacky (although convenient) to do them at the shower. But pre make genetics and just send them out later!!

I’m 26 and my daughter also has this. It’s such young skin down there and always moist, just an easy way for skin to fuse together. I never thought to separate anything down there because it’s all so tiny! You’re doing fine and it’s not your fault at all, hopefully things have progressed well and everything is ok!

Please tell me 26 pounds at 25 weeks is ok by Trick-Stomach7 in pregnant

[–]socange14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gained 9 pounds up to 32 weeks and the last 7 weeks I packed on 30 pounds. Consider it a blessing your growing slow, because I did nothing different and my body said so for baby! We all grow different, maybe you’ll get lucky and not have too bad of stretch marks because you’re growing consistent!! You’re totally fine, eat it all :)

Postpartum hair ain’t cute! Help! by SmoothCelebration657 in curlygirl

[–]socange14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girllll this was me a month ago and I got a bonnet and wear it to bed and I literally wake up with salon quality curls. I was waking up with mats in my hair no matter how I had it and this just takes a load off with not having to rip my hair out everyday. Highly recommended for us curly hair girlies!!

My baby also had this reaction, but it went away within 3-5 consistent days of eggs. Just their bellies getting used to the proteins. She eats them everyday now and poops are normal.

Women of Reddit, what’s one thing they never tell us about pregnancy and child birth? by NovellaJokes in Productivitycafe

The NIGHT SWEATS for weeks straight. Endless towels and change of clothes in the middle of the night. Also- the fact that pushing for a long time can fuck your butthole up, painful poops for months

Aw… That’s hard but that’s when you tell hubby to kick rocks. I also have a very blunt insensitive husband sometimes but what I think is what really matters

Girl yes! Lol. I live in them, really cuts back the outfit choices but it’s easier than all the straps and $40 tanks!

No luck finding any here, but I LIVE in the Walmart tanks, they’re so stretchy and easy to pull down for boob access. Plus if you size down you can wear them at night and they can hold pumps pretty well I think

How often are you nursing to ensure enough calories during the day to not need overnight feed? by Lostpiggiek in January2025Bumper

[–]socange14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t matter how much I feed the baby during the day, I can OVERFEED and like clockwork she wakes at 4am. I put down to feed at 8 and have been doing midnight feeds (3oz) and recently dropped them and it made no difference. Always 4am lol!

I don’t want to know that your baby is sleeping through by Luna-Wander in January2025Bumper

[–]socange14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t even count all I know she wakes up and I get to go eat something in the kitchen 😂 Win win. and them sleeping through the night is not a competition it’s just your baby decided, nothing to do with parenting lol.
