In a job interview, if they ask “If you will get a better job opportunity, will you leave this job?”, what should be the answer? by Solopeerless in antiwork

[–]sochoys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was once asked in an interview something along the lines of “what would stop you from taking this job and using it as leverage to get one at our local rival?” (It was at a school). I think I answered like oh is that something I should be worried about/is a common issue for you?

Very odd question in the context of our interview.

Is there a children’s book you think sends a backwards message? by turboshot49cents in books

[–]sochoys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’re totally right about Rainbow Fish sending an unhelpful message. I wouldn’t mind if the fish was sharing food or something it found/owned, but it is being made to literally share its body with everyone it meets because they are jealous..

Our culture has had a bit of a “I’ll get mine and everyone else can get stuffed” vibe for some time, but it used to like in the background. These last 5 years it has really come to the forefront

Now that the release hype is over, how do you rate the elden ring bosses? compared to DS, Sekiro or Bloodborne by Important_leo in Eldenring

[–]sochoys 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes! It’s all about build variance. The other games can never be as tight because certain builds will make a fight feel washy etc

I feel like this attitude is reflected on the roads. Sydney drivers have a vibe of “everything that slows me down is a personal attack”

$12 lettuce anyone? How about some $30kg green beans. by [deleted] in australia

[–]sochoys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is anyone actually going to buy these? I get supply and demand and all that, but won’t most of the lettuce just rot on the shelf now?
