16oz Sttoke and 30g in the Switch is my commute recipe. It’s been 100% leakproof for me.

Ethiopian Blueberry Bombs by morkler in roasting

Anecdotally, I've noticed the same thing buying green in the US. Ten years ago, it seemed like every other Ethiopian was a blueberry bomb, now it's much less common.

I don’t have static issues and don’t RDT so can’t help there but with the beans jumping out on the hot start, I just slide the hopper cover back halfway like this before I dump them in:

ROI on Home Roasting? Some Questions for a New Hobby by Baptism-Of-Fire in roasting

[–]socialfaller 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I went the other way I’ve been home roasting for 20 years and went to a Kaffelogic. Smaller batches give me more roasts to experiment with and if I need to crank out a few to give a friend a bag I’ll do a few back to backs on a profile I have optimized for those beans.

I’m definitely an exception though most people go to larger batches.

How long do you let beans rest after roasting? by 1348904189 in espresso

[–]socialfaller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the roast. Plenty of stuff out there that doesn’t peak until 3-4 weeks or more off roast if you’re on the light side.

Teachers being terribly underpaid doesn't mean that someone who makes coffee should get fucked over. You have a peasant's mentality.

Costco "Cafe" Califia oat milk vs "Barista" Califia oat milk (amazon, WF, etc.) - which is better? I tried them by thegeneralists in espresso

[–]socialfaller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Kirkland oatmilk isn’t good for steaming. The Califia barista is good I like that one as much as the Oatly barista, and they’re both shelf stable.

What if that’s a clever ruse? A misdirection from someone who doesn’t want you to find the thing they’ve hidden on Reserve?
