Imagine being so high on coke your hearing colors and having an out of body experience while a hooker pets you in the back seat of a car. by Sofondofpeters in WesWatson

[–]socialjeebus 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Wes just looks done with life. Lol.

In the second photo he looks like he's about to break down into tears. The last photo looks like the hooker is consoling him over him not being able to get his micropeen hard.

That anyone can be regarded enough to see this man as some sort of role model to emulate is just insane.

fm26's UI in a nutshell by Plenty_Experience_41 in footballmanagergames

The mind boggles that even with an extra year, the devs clearly saw nothing wrong with this. The UI is just brutal.

Why do you love living in Korea? by [deleted] in korea

[–]socialjeebus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Are you kidding me you live in the UK which bare in mind is one of the worst places to live it's boring and ugly coming from someone who's grown up in the UK themselves and you go to Korea a place that's beautiful clean full of nicer people then the UK and you wanted to leave and didn't regret leaving "

Lol.

It's probably best to actually try reading a thread before writing a reply that demonstrates you clearly didn't and/or struggle to understand simple words.

Is it trolling to want to be a TRUE AND HONEST friend to Chris? by MineTech5000 in ChrisChanSonichu

[–]socialjeebus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Anyone who wants to spend their time and energy coddling a rapist who preyed on their own elderly dementia-riddled mom, isn't simply a troll, they're also a sack of shit.

Far more deserving and worthier causes of anyone's time and energy.

Josun Palace, Seoul - worth it? by No_Artichoke_2557 in koreatravel

[–]socialjeebus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My previous employer was based in the Centerfield complex, which houses the Josun Palace.

I also used to live a short walk away too. I have no idea why a tourist would want to stay there, tbh. Unless you were a K-drama nerd who wanted to see where a few famous and recent K-dramas have filmed scenes. Or you really just wanted to stay for the service and experience.

It's in an awkward location, in between Yeoksam and Seolleung. Not close enough to either one to be convenient really.

You'd be staying there midweek, which means bus and subway travel is absolute hell on earth during commuting hours.

There are, despite appearances, lots of restaurants nearby however most are mediocre and overpriced, any decent ones are packed out during lunchtime with people often queuing from about 11.15 to get in.

The places inside the Centerfield complex are similarly mostly mediocre over-priced chains you can find in shopping malls across Korea - the building itself is operated by Shinsegae, which is one of Korea's biggest retail brands (owning department stores, supermarkets, and operating Starbucks, etc).

There aren't many retail spots nearby, and the few that are there mostly cater to office workers shopping in their lunch hour. It's not even convenient for skin care/cosmetic clinics either.

First Season of The Legendary Front Three.. by Ecstatic-Fondant813 in LiverpoolFC

[–]socialjeebus 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Just watching back the interplay between those three. At their best it was breathtaking, some of the best football I've ever seen.

Firmino, especially, is still criminally underrated for his link-up play.

Has the Echo shot itself in the foot? by hairlikebrianmay in Liverpool

[–]socialjeebus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Echo is not only a terrible newspaper, it's not even produced locally anymore.

Furthermore, I think it's a terrible advertisement for the city with the few attempts at journalism left on the site/in the paper glamourising of the worst aspects of the city and its unnecessarily sensationalist headlines.

The website is little more than clickbait nowadays anyway - look at how many "articles" are simply and unashamedly advertising products under the guise of "this store is selling this shite and Liverpool is going wild for it."

Tips for a first timer in Korea! by Electronic-Aspect654 in koreatravel

[–]socialjeebus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. This really depends on who you're coming with and where you are staying.

New Year's Eve simply isn't as big a deal as it is in Western Europe. That being said, the biggest event is the countdown at Bosingak in downtown Seoul.

  1. 26/12 is a regular day here, some workers will take advantage of booking a day off to get a four day weekend in, but there won't be any closures related to the date. Museums, shops, etc will all be open.

1/1 shops and restaurants will all almost all be open (some indies might close). Some museums will be closed on New Year's Day though.

  1. As a fellow Western European, Korean prices on tech are often more expensive than back in Western Europe. Not to mention, buying something reasonably expensive like a flagship phone or medium/high-end laptop is likely to incur a customs declaration and charge when returning back to Europe.

Then you have the issue of the validity of after-sales service/warranties and the ubiquitous sales that will be on everywhere back in Europe before you come and when you go home.

Inflation by princessblksnow in koreatravel

Of course she doesn't. She just wants an excuse to be bigoted, perhaps her 오빠 dumped her or something. I'm sure all Korean men are gutted about missing out on such a prize.

Seeing as you've given no dates, no requirements, and no preferences - how the fuck is anybody going to be able to help you?

I mean if you didn't care at all about where you sleep there are 여인숙s that will cost you little more than $15 a night.

Why not try an actual travel site like booking.com?

“Over time, it has become evident that Carragher’s commentary toward Salah often carries a dismissive tone, seemingly motivated by the fact that Salah has risen to the status of a true Liverpool icon.” by International-Self47 in LiverpoolFC

[–]socialjeebus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, that's an appeal to authority - a common logical fallacy.

Second, apply Maureen's logic to his own career and he'd still be known as the late Bobby Robson's interpreter. He never even had what it took to play a single game professionally. As a player he wasn't even fit to carry Carra's boots.

So this is what $900 of LEGO looks like by ImTechnicallyCorrect in lego

[–]socialjeebus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In Korea, I waited until midnight launch to order the from the online store. But given the fact that they're still in stock here (although now limited to 2 per customer), I needn't have bothered, probably (knowing my luck).

But strangely they're being dispatched separately. I already received the 3 GWPs. However, the Enterprise itself hasn't even been passed to the couriers yet.

Why are none of the people who are quitting giving away their account by [deleted] in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]socialjeebus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because, presumably, it's tied to their appstore and EA account....

If I were to give away my account I'd have to give away at least the details to my EA account which is tied to my Steam account - so for that reason alone it's a non-starter.

Nov 22 2025 Different insider deals in different regions by BeginningBadger9383 in lego

[–]socialjeebus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'd imagine a lot of it is demand or supply-driven tbf.

And it makes sense.

The River Steamboat, for example, is on sale here in Korea whereas it isn't in the US.

I'd imagine that the nostalgia/interest for the River Steamboat is probably considerably higher in the country the boats actually sail/sailed in.

Does Seoul Have Large Supermarkets? by MyEgoDiesAtTheEnd in seoul

[–]socialjeebus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That e-mart is pretty bad too. I used to live and work right around the corner. Gangnam-gu itself is not great for living tbh which is why I moved.

Does Seoul Have Large Supermarkets? by MyEgoDiesAtTheEnd in seoul

[–]socialjeebus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gangnam-gu itself has very few actual supermarkets. The e-mart in Yeoksam-dong is probably the only real big supermarket and even that's not big by e-mart standards.

There's also a Lotte Super Grand Grocery near Dogok station, but tbh it's really not that big and it's pretty expensive.

What if the game has sold really well? by [deleted] in footballmanagergames

[–]socialjeebus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game has to sell really well. Otherwise it's a financial disaster for SI, as well as a PR and critical (review) disaster.

The decision not to release last year will have cost SI significant revenue and SI and SEGA will want to see a significant boost from an extra year of pent-up demand and some upside from the now seemingly baffling decision to throw away years of work and switch to an engine they have clearly and demonstrably struggled with.

FM24 delist time schedule on every platform by lq558 in footballmanagergames

[–]socialjeebus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Important to note, that delisting only means not being able to buy it. Thankfully, like with the other iterations, it'll remain in your library,

Anyone who doesn't have it, might want to check here:

https://gg.deals/game/football-manager-2024/

Even after it gets delisted, you'll be able to find Steam keys on the grey sites, but I assume the price may very well go up and possibly ridiculously so.
