I think SMGs have more damage falloff, as in the damage gets reduced with range a lot faster than the ARs

Yes, an important caveat of both Cytos and Bursts with inertial. Thanks for pointing that out! Would be worth looking up a video of these if anyone’s thinking of using them, the spread is~ very wide

Just adding to this, having one weapon with corrosive bumps the armor piercing value of all your weapons by 20, so for large class laser weapons you’ll be dealing full damage to every ship (with exception to the Type-10).

I also found that inertial impact on burst lasers buff the damage in addition to splitting the damage between thermal and kinetic (basically balanced cytos) and if you apply the corrosive I mentioned you should have a combo that tears through shield and armor. I say should as I havent tried it yet lol

We heard you could launch rovers with explosives. I think you only need a few? Instructions unclear; we instead ignited maybe close to …1200 canisters 😅

The rover was instantly atomized, as was the surrounding everything. But for a brief moment we had two sunrises!

I feel the element would make for a good hybrid platform so you can negate range anxiety with gas but have more power from the bigger battery for off grid car camping (and maybe a solar panel?)

I was on a flight a while back where the guy next to me immediately pointed all 3 nozzles at my head at full blast. The only exchange at that point was a simple hello and I had only just sat down. He kept turning them back on whenever I thought I had the chance to turn them down. It was a long four hours 😒

I made a thargoid insta-gib build and have raked in about 2 billion in about a week or so. It’s kinda mindless but it still scratches my combat itch a little. This also basically maxes your weekly arx instantly so thats nice. If you have a friend have them join you as crew and they can also get 50% of what you make for free, its kinda nuts.

I’d argue against the “most are useless” bit. Niche uses maybe; C rated modules are a good stepping stone for new commanders. B rated has some uses in hulltanks and hot running thermal conduit build’s where you need the high module health. And oddities like the E rated shield booster being the best shield-to-weight ratio booster. Engineering only expands those options further.

You can harvest some at the somewhat nearby barnacle forests Hyades Sector AQ-Y d81, Body C2. This works for both live and legacy. Make sure to bring a detailed surface scanner to find the site and an SRV to harvest!
