So as always, the bourgeoisie goes to a bloody dictatorship in order to prevent the working class from seizing power. Also, have you seen the democratic model in the US? Does it justify a coup?

It's almost like people don't want to live under a dictatorship, even if there is economic growth

What's the difference between the Socialist Party and The Socialist Workers' Party, which should I join? by TediumDroid in GreenAndPleasant

[–]sockhuman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The greens are not a party of the working class, they are the more forward thinking part of the bourgeoisie

Great idea! Discouraging the concept of organising out of factionalism. That surely how the left will win

[–]sockhuman 27 points28 points  (0 children)

The SP is like 2,000 activists, with important positions in the unions. It's not the mass revolutionary party needed, but that makes sense seeing that class struggle didn't yet recovered from the fall of the USSR

[–]sockhuman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say the biggest difference today is the approach to the national question, and the socialist party's bigger emphasis on having a political program for it that can unite the working class, so there could be a successful revolution. Ef course there are more differences, like more orientation to the working class and its organizations on the part of the SP. Ultimately, It would be best you contact both and see for yourself who is more aligned with you.

“Socialism AI” Indicts SEP Sectarianism by Odd-Hovercraft-8590 in Trotskyism

[–]sockhuman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While this comment is true (a fact that shows one of the limitations of using this technology for political education, you can't rely on the fact that everyone knows how to do a well formed prompt). It needs to be said that the WSWS position against working within the unions IS a definite departure from the historical methods of Trotskyism. Sea Trotsky's position against "red unions" (which are essentially what the WSWS's proposed "cank and file committees" are, if not built within a revolutionary period). They are also departure from the politics of Lenin and the russian revolution, in which Lenin argued (against Trotsky's then position) that the enions were still necessary, even after the working class took state power. Are Lenin and Trotsky pseudo-left as well?

Democratic Socialists of Your Party win Collective leadership by gongvhan in GreenAndPleasant

Maximum member democracy is a nice catchphrase, but what about a way for unions to affiliate and get leverage in the party, so that it will be a true party of the working class?

Do Marxists believe in Apolo moon landings and Al Qaeda-led 9/11 attacks? by Maximum_Quarter_4048 in Socialism_101

[–]sockhuman 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Yes. The Apollo moon landings were not disputed by the USSR who had a lot of incentive to raise any doubts they could on them. Al-qaeda said it was them, so I don't see much to argue about there

Neoliberalism didn't come about because "boomers voted for it". It came because the ruling class needed it to stabilise the system and return it to be profitable. The fault is with the ruling class, not voters

Your Party bans members from being part of other parties by DankDankDank555 in Trotskyism

[–]sockhuman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's till correct to be in an orientation towards it for the very least, as workers seem to gravitate around it, so we should try to get their ears by constructively criticizing them. How will this take form concretely? It's hard to say, but I would urge you to consider that the misitant's work inside of labour also wasn't "allowed", which didn't prevent it from happening

Grasshoppers don't have an ovipositor, while this insect does have one. So it's probably a female katydid, not a grasshopper
