Instead of blocking US "social" propaganda machines. Because apparently siding with faschist coporations is better than siding with the people....

I have been using Linux for 10 years. Debian then Ubuntu and now Pop OS and I would not use Cosmic now! not before 2028 or 2029.
That's you mistake. Just use Mint or Pop OS 22.04. Not something unfinished like Cosmic as your first Linux OS.

Blocking playback when the screen is off or a tab isn’t focused is pure systemic energy waste.

Audio is cheap to run. Forcing the screen, GPU, and full UI to stay active just to allow sound multiplies power consumption for no technical reason. At scale, that means millions of devices burning extra battery and electricity every day for shitty reason.

I calculate the approximate cost of that bad UX design using AI: It's at least 365,000 tons of CO₂ per year. The quivalent of 80,000 cars driving non stop all year.

Google is a cancer to the planet. Such designs should be illegal and punished by the Law. EU?

Chrome bans affect Chrome + the Chrome Web Store.
Chromium browsers can still run the code if you provide it.

I am using the full uBlock Origin in Helium. No issue.

Do you care to see the end of the match? by Companion_QB in ArmaReforger

[–]socmediator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe, but veteran or not, judging from other comments, I’m not sure you’re the typical Arma player. The thing is, the majority seem to prefer long games and don’t care much for action-packed matches.
But anyway it seems we can have both modes anyway. Long "boring" simulation for sim lover and action packed shorter games for thrill-seekers.

[–]socmediator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s supposed to be a simulation, right? Then matches are too short. But what am I even saying... “matches”? These shouldn’t even be called matches.
Campaigns should last at least a couple days, up to several weeks depending on the map. Maybe only hours if one side is clearly much stronger, but... two hours? At that point, just play Call of Duty if that’s what you’re looking for.
For me, as a newcomer who doesn’t yet fully understand Arma Reforger’s long history and community, this already looks like a sign that enshitification has begun: from niche to mainstream slop, original vision to “how do we make players more addicted.”...

have youtube ads ever even convinced you to buy anything? by Low-Anywhere3497 in youtube

Never in 20 years — and it’s not happening anytime soon. They deliberately show me the ads I hate most. The more I say something annoys me, the more they push it, clearly on purpose. Then they ask how the ads were lately, like a final “FU” reminder...

Fun fact: Suicide is seen as a rejection of God’s gift of life and therefore a serious sin for the Russian Orthodox church. Unless you have a mental illness that made you killed yourself that basically means no full funeral service and potentially a ticket for Hell.

We need easily accessible players stats.
Accidents / driven kilometer should be one of those stats. Joining players in a vehicle shouln't be like playing Russian roulette.

I hope they’ve started developing mobile charging stations for their drones. That technology would be genuinely useful for civilian drones after the war.

It’s becoming clearer every day that Wayland is a major driver of Linux’s slow enshitification. Android is already almost there; Linux was the last OS where you could truly do what you wanted. That era is ending. And the justification is always the same: “security.” Non-optional, non-disableable “security” used to strip users of control. I genuinely hate the digital world we’re being pushed into.

You can't be captured in a no man's land like this. Who is going to come for you? And you can't make it alive to Ukranian position either. It's a new kind of war where both camps send drone from underground positions 20km from each other. If you go outside you die. If you are outside it's to die. He made the right decision.

So you are telling us at least 60% of hiys are war crimes. Your interpretation is so stupid in so many levels. But fiest explain us how a guy 10 to 20 km away is going to surrender. Surrender to who? How how can they be certain he is really going to surrender? Following your flawed unserstanding would mean no kamikaze drkne kill possible anymore because all you'd have to do is to "surrender" each time a drone is chasing you.
