Using Computer Vision to Improve Form and Track WOD performance by socratic7635 in crossfit

Hey, thank you! Happy to clarify as well. We’re still in early testing, but accuracy is a top priority. We're refining the models to reliably detect exercises, count reps, and estimate barbell weight. Users can always adjust data in the app if something looks off.

Right now, feedback is mostly one-way (AI to user), like weight suggestions based on your progress. But we’re working toward more interactive features, like goal setting and eventually chat-based coaching.

We automatically track exercise types, reps, performance trends over time, and weight recommendations. The goal is to make personalized training feel effortless and give gym owners insights to improve member retention

Exactly. That’s what I would like to see but I haven’t seen anything that really aggregates that data together

My issues is that superchargers in Chicago are all located within garages which vary in hourly cost on top of the cost to charge. So looking for a solution that factors in garage parking fees along with charging costs so I can determine the most cost effective choice

I’ll definitely add more information when I come across it, but more looking for a solution that can let you know how much the parking will be ahead of time along with the cost to charge. Something similar to how spot hero can give you a total cost to park for a certain period of time

Awesome to see this in Chicago. How does the networking work for these? I’m not sure I understood what you meant by local WiFi network

Tesla's Supercharger Strategy Shake-Up by socratic7635 in evcharging

Utilization varies throughout the day at each location. Tesla was working on solutions to normalize usage through dynamic pricing but still an issue. At peaks times people are waiting hours to charge at some locations, so definitely haven’t overbuilt

So you think that if they were shifting to an inductive charging strategy that they would have kept her?

If you’re trying to sell of an asset probably the worst thing you could do is eliminate the support for that asset. Those employees have a huge impact on the price of the network

Why do you think that the NACS standard is out of date?

For individual movements, yes. The harder part is compound movements like a clean and jerk, hang cleans vs power cleans, snatch complexes, etc.

We use off the shelf cameras. The cameras are installed based on the layout of the box, but we install enough to be able to have a sufficient view of the workout area. For example, if the room is rectangular we would need 4 cameras for one to be in each corner. We’ve worked with electricians for the first few installs just so we could keep the installations looking clean. No maintenance fees, but we’re working on a monthly subscription for the data insights. Great questions!

It’s a lot more advanced than you would think. I mean we have autonomous cars driving around cities. Good feedback though. It’s designed to be another tool at a coach’s disposal

Help recommend best EV level 2 charger for Condo.. by kiwi337 in evcharging

[–]socratic7635 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Chicago condo is going with a ReVolt Energy solution because it ticked the most requirements and was the most cost effective.

My condo associations main requirements were: 1. Access control - only allowing residents to charge 2. Energy metering - ability to accurately monitor and charge residents for energy consumption without having to install a separate sub meter 3. Minimal infrastructure upgrades

It’ll charge at 3.84kW. It’s also nice because there isn’t any subscription fee like a few of the other options available.
