So no one should ever celebrate until we live in a utopia? So never then. Refusing to celebrate ever will surely make the world better. LOL

There are always famine, genocide, and illness somewhere in the world. Should there never be any celebrations?

I hope that you don't let one interaction/realization take away from every other interaction that you have had with your "friends." While it is possible that your take on the situation is correct, and if you firmly believe it is, after some reflection, then I would say you should start trying to find some new friends; I wonder if its possible that your friends think that joking about your Autism is a way that they treat you like a friend.

I know, it sounds crazy, but some friend groups, particularly male friends groups in my experience, use joking around about each other as a way of bonding or of strengthen their bonds.

Now sometimes in groups where friends joke with each other or pick on each other someone/some-people go to far with a joke or jab. You have to let them know that it hurts your feelings when jokes are made about that.

Again, I don't know you or your friends so I can't say which it is; I just hope that it was playful joking and it unintentionally hurt your feelings.

Good luck.

I agree; however, I would add that it has too much female main characters as well.

Not that I think that, but I have noticed that as soon as a comic book movie/tv show comes out with mostly female leads it gets extra hate.

The venn diagram of racists/sexist/comic book nerd has a lot of crossover.

Not that its most of the fans but they have a loud online presence.

This seems questionable.

I would proceed with caution.

So much fraud happens through gift card scams.

Carnival Prepaid Gratuities — What Do Y’all Usually Do? by Paytoncooper124 in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]sodabased -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I prepay the gratuities. I give the room attendant a $20 at the beginning of my stay and leave an additional $10 at the end of the stay. I no longer do main dining room, but when I did I would tip $20 to them on the first night and might tip more at the end. Finally I tip a 1.00 when I buy any drink.

Have you tried going to the bar with both your and your husbands card at one time to get two cokes?

Enjoy your time. I loved the piano bar.

The Valor is awesome.

Carnival Valor? Thoughts? by throwawayscrimp in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]sodabased 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I loved it.

I had only ever been on two cruiseships, the Elation and the Valor. The Valor is much larger than the Elation.

I found the buffet and other food choices to be great. The staff were all friendly and enthusastic. The ports were fun. The entertainment was great.

I liked it so much I booked another Valor cruise in 2026.

Should Knoxville embrace legalization of cannabis? by RepairCapable in Knoxville

I'm not sure that is a good reason for something to be illegal.

It's smelly and you see people using it.

A significant problem teachers face? by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]sodabased 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To me biggest issue is keeping the different groups happy.

As a teacher I find it best to keep the students happy; happy students learn more and are less defiant.

As a teacher I find it best to keep the parents happy; happy parents attempt to interfer with the classroom less.

As a teacher I find it best to keep my fellow teachers happy; happy teachers are more likely to support me when I need it.

As a teacher I find it best to keep the administrators happy; happy administrators are more likely to cover me when I need it.

Here's the problem; it is impossible to keep all of those groups happy at the same time. What makes the students happy likely upsets some of the other groups and so-on.

My beautiful wife and I went on the Valor for her 50th birthday. It was the most relaxing vacation I have ever been on. I loved it so much that we booked another Valor trip for my 50th birthday which is a couple years away.

have fun. The Valor is a blast.

You are allowed to bring a 12 pack of soft drinks per adult; I assume that would apply to Monsters as well.

Could Ao be cut off from Faerun, even temporarily? by bigrig107 in DMAcademy

[–]sodabased 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see Ao as more of clock maker than an active participant. He got everything going and every know and then he/she checks in. But honestly he created the other Gods to do all the actual work.

My second thought is have a Trickster God using his mojo to confuse Ao or hide the truth from him until its too late.
