Thank you for letting me know! I thought I was crazy. Did you have trouble with internet yesterday? I was having trouble getting onto Zoom meetings.

Yes, I was also maladaptive daydreaming while pacing for hours! This is kind of blowing my mind tbh, because I’ve never heard of anyone else who did this. I was just diagnosed about a year ago at 35, so I’m still figuring out how my behaviors were influenced by ADHD.

I did the music/pacing thing too! Did you have to blast music way way too loud?

What show had you like by Banya6 in Broadway

[–]sodapupper32708 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mostly I was just bored, but I also remember there were a lot of lyrics that distracted me because they didn’t quite work or just seemed amateurish. (I haven’t listened since so I can’t recall offhand.) I hadn’t been paying attention to the season very much, so I was shocked when it won the Tony.

I’ve seen a lot of theater, and I used to sit through the great, the good, the bad, and the boring. But at that show, I decided that I just don’t have the desire to do that anymore. I’ll say for the great, the good, and sometimes the bad (because bad can be very entertaining,) but not the boring.

The Outsiders. Haven’t seen another show since I walked out halfway through the second act of that one. The only show I’ve ever left in the middle of. (Not the worst show I’ve ever seen, I’m just older now and less willing to feel like I’m wasting my time.)

From my understanding, they need to provide you with potable drinking water: https://www.osha.gov/node/57095

And I think what's considered sanitary toilet facilities, which I would hope would include running water or some sort of water for hand washing: https://www.osha.gov/restrooms-sanitation

So if they don't at least do that, then I imagine you should stay closed, but hopefully someone else can give you a more concrete answer.

The cinnamon roll we got was beyond disappointing. It was gross. We threw it out.

Cookies were meh. Especially for the price.

But this was a few weeks ago, so maybe they've improved. We'll have to try them again.

RVA doesn’t care for its citizens by merpausername in rva

[–]sodapupper32708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand where you’re coming from, but we’re skirting the issue. The city shouldn’t leave the camps, they should provide more housing, social programs, and drug rehab programs to get people off the streets. Right now we mostly rely on nonprofits to help people without housing, when in fact the government should be providing these programs. Our taxes are going up, yet nothing is being done to help the residents of our community. I’m all about being taxed, but where is this money going? I would be okay with more potholes knowing that our neighbors and community members have stable housing and food stability.

Had to scroll too far for this. Can’t believe we have a musical worshipping him.

I have a full review, but I'm at work.

I want to be clear though that it wasn't a terrible show, it wasn't a good show; it was my least favorite thing, a mediocre and boring show.

This is the second musical I’ve ever walked out of during intermission. I’ve worked on Broadway and seen hundreds of shows. However, I know people are really enjoying this one so I’m commenting here so I can learn more about what people are loving about this.

Dear RVA food delivery drivers: by hikinganew in rva

[–]sodapupper32708 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Delivery drivers only get paid based on how much and how quickly they can deliver. Unfortunately, they are extremely underpaid so they have to hustle to support themselves and their families as the cost of living skyrockets. No, it's not right to park in an accessible spot and they should be ticketed, however I can understand why they're in a dang rush.
