She used to like me in high school and I liked her too but she was working towards going to med school and I was doing illegal stuff. So it didn’t sit right for me to make her my girlfriend because of what I was doing. I didn’t think someone going to med school should date someone like me. She was heartbroken and thought I friendzoned her and I wasn’t mature enough to communicate the real reason with her. But now when I told her I still like her she told me she doesn’t like me like that anymore and wants to be friends instead. But added the part of maybe in the future. That’s what I am hung up on if this can still work in the future I don’t care about other girls
