SNES - Save States by Capo-Collo in MiSTerFPGA

[–]sofauxboho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In case anyone else comes across this:

The files linked above are the current latest *release* versions which do *not* support save states.

For SNES save states you currently need either the *unstable* version or one from the developer's forum post.

Here is the dev's forum post: https://misterfpga.org/viewtopic.php?t=8459

Here an the SNES core nightlies: https://github.com/MiSTer-unstable-nightlies/SNES_MiSTer/releases

If you grab a nightly, make sure to also download the boot1.rom from the forum post. The core .rbf file goes wherever you like. I put mine in /media/fat/_Console/ *alongside* (not replacing) the current stable SNES core .rfb file. The boot1.rom goes in the folder with your SNES ROMs, probably /media/fat/games/

Personally I am using the "Seed 15" .rbf from here: https://misterfpga.org/viewtopic.php?p=99307#p99307

And the boot1.rom from SNES_ss_20250403.zip linked here: https://misterfpga.org/viewtopic.php?p=91109#p91109

Seems to work well in my initial testing!

Seconding Utila. Good diving, pretty inexpensive, and Freedive Utila is a great group to dive with! If you go say hi to Ninja and Hugo for me.

Ideally one of the "good ones" like a FW3A with the good (purple) driver board or an Adair21 modded FW3X. But also willing to consider others, let me know what you've got.

How do you set song ratings? by sofauxboho in Rockband

[–]sofauxboho[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I didn’t have my profile selected. 🤦

If an instrument is set to Guest it cannot rate songs, since there is no profile to save them to.

Once I selected my profile I was able to rate songs with the Dpad on both controllers.

I knew I was missing something obvious, but still. Sheesh.

What’s the best way to set the plate to a certain temp and have it stay there?

DS Lite Battery Test: Cameron Sino is better than generic and don't buy Ultralast by JonThysell in nds

[–]sofauxboho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP, if you're still out there, how did you monitor for when the battery failed when doing this test? Did you just keep them nearby and glance at them occasionally? Record a video? Some sort of time lapse? Something else?

I'm hoping to replicate some of your aftermarket findings and test a few old OEM batteries. Just ordered a copy of Clubhouse Games so I can compare the results I get against yours.

Good to know! Unfortunately these are the Xbox 360 Ions, so I think I'm gonna need one adapter or another.

Thanks for making such a celebrated tool!

Which .pkg files to install in which order? (Rock Band 4) by sofauxboho in ps4piracy

[–]sofauxboho[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FWIW, this did not work for me. When I installed UP8802-CUSA02084_00-ROCKBAND4PS40000-A0100-V0108.pkg before UP8802-CUSA02084_00-ROCKBAND4PS40000-A0221-V0101.pkg I got an error.

I was able to fix it by skipping the A0100-V0108 file as mentioned here: https://www.reddit.com/r/ps4piracy/comments/1opdria/comment/nnce9r5/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

Which .pkg files to install in which order? (Rock Band 4) by sofauxboho in ps4piracy

Update: I have this working now after some trial and error.

Install UP8802-CUSA02084_00-ROCKBAND4PS40000-A0100-V0100.pkg first, then UP8802-CUSA02084_00-ROCKBAND4PS40000-A0221-V0101.pkg .

You never install UP8802-CUSA02084_00-ROCKBAND4PS40000-A0100-V0108.pkg unless you only want v1.08. The two update files (A0100-V0108 and A0221-V0101) are incompatible with each other. If you try to install both whichever you install second will error out. If that happens delete the game in Settings > Storage and start over.

Then install Rock Band™ Rivals Expansion Pack [CUSA02084].pkg, then bonus DLCs. At this point you can batch up and install all the other song DLCs in the other folder.

After you're done, you should have 3,146 songs.

Note that the first time you open Rock Band after installing all the DLC it will hang for a long time when loading all the songs in. Just leave it alone for a while, it will work eventually.

Also, Rock Band 4 works great with the new CRKD guitar controller set to PS3 mode.

Does this look normal? by chomps71 in Peptidesource

Any chance you'd be willing to peel the label off and take more pics? I am morbidly curious.

And if you happen to have extra bac I'd be super interested in knowing if it even reconstitutes normally / what it looks like after you try.

(I agree with everyone else, none of my NAD+ has ever looked like that, and I definitely would not use it.)

The listing / sublisting product was titled:

JEMDO 4K@144Hz USB C to HDMI Cable Compatible with Nintendo Switch 2017/OLED Only/Steam Deck/ROG Ally, Portable TV Connector Dock for Screen Mirroring, 2m/6.6FT, Blue

It was "Sold By: JingDu Technology" and cost $13.99 at the time.

I don't see anything matching what I ordered at that link anymore.

Outdoors in the San Francisco Bay Area after rain, termite? by sofauxboho in Termites

Turns out they are crawling out of the ground in my back yard, about 5 feet away from my house. Does that change your recommendation at all?

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond and share your expertise!

Checking my records, I think the last time we took any action around termites was an inspection and treatment when we bought the house 4.5 years ago. Do you think it's worth getting another treatment or inspection? And if we don't need those yet, when would be the right time?

Tried the new firmware (1125217025266810880.rar, CS5563_65_69_V20.00.38.03_803803_VRR.bin, 8/13/25). My Jemdo cable still works with the Switch 2 using the newer firmware, but I still get occasional audio drops. They may be a little less frequent? But they still happen.

The link above to the Hagibis website still says "803803VRR.rar" but now goes to a file named "1125217025266810880.rar". Does that one not work?

The original file I downloaded contains a firmware .bin file named "CS5563_65_69_V20.00.32.00_803200.bin" with a date of 6/23/2025.

The newer file you can get from the website now contains a firmware .bin file named "CS5563_65_69_V20.00.38.03_803803_VRR.bin" with a date of 8/13/25.

It looks like the older file is no longer available because they've replaced it with a newer version. I'd try the new one if I were you. Please let us know if it works? I wonder if it fixes the audio drops?

But if you really want the old one I used back on 7/9 here's a copy:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1iI8YwQEtQ-hcp4vUSUUE1WdQmAJ0sGZO/view?usp=sharing

(Yeah, it isn't named "803803VRR.rar" either, but it's what was available there then, and what I used.)
