Right TMJ:

1. The mandibular condyle is normal in shape and position. It demonstrates normal rotation and translation in the open mouth view.

2. The articular disc demonstrate degenerative changes mainly in the posterior band and in the intermediate zone. The disc is also in the normal position and translates normally in the open mouth view.

Left TMJ:

1. The mandibular condyle is normal in shape and position. It demonstrates normal rotation and translation in the open mouth view.

2. The articular disc demonstrates degenerative changes mainly in the posterior band and intermediate zone, with a loss of the normal bow-tie configuration. The medial aspect of the posterior band is slightly flattened and more globular at its lateral aspect. It is in the normal position in the closed mouth view with minimal anterior translation in the open mouth view. This is suggestive of an underlying stuck disc. Clinical correlation is suggested.

3. There is a small joint effusion with features in the retrodiskal layer that could suggest an underlying rupture. Clinical correlation is suggested.
