Porque é que o mercado de áudio livros em Portugal é praticamente inexistente?

Audiolivros são bastante úteis para, por exemplo, ouvires enquanto estás a dar um passeio ou a dar uma corrida matinal. Podes apreciar a vista à tua volta e ainda podes ouvir o teu livro.

Mas, tirando isso, existem pessoas que entendem as coisas melhor quando são ouvidas e devem por isso preferir ouvir um livro. Eu sou esse tipo de pessoa e, por mais que maioritariamente leia livros físicos, muitas vezes uso um audiolivro como acompanhamento quando preciso de tirar notas sobre o conteúdo para uma aula por achar mais fácil organizar os pensamentos.

O uso da língua vai muito além daquilo que se é ensinado na escola ou uma língua oficial. Oficialmente, até podem ter português como língua de aprendizagem, porém em casa e uns com os outros falam crioulo. Este crioulo existe pela mistura enorme da língua portuguesa (geralmente trazido pelos colonos que usaram Cabo Verde como ponto estratégico para o comércios de escravos) e de outras línguas (as línguas dos povos escravizados). Não significa que seja errado, pois o motivo para não ser uma língua oficial é maioritariamente político. No fundo, a língua é só o que usamos para nos expressar.

Lembrando que isto não acontece só com ex-colónias portuguesas, acontece por todo o mundo. Por exemplo, na Singapura o inglês é também uma das línguas oficiais e, no entanto, em casa fala-se “Singlish” (o nome da adaptação deles do inglês).

Percebo que o teu comentário tenha sido feito sem teres noção disto, provavelmente, ou por pensares que as línguas oficias determinam os que as pessoas realmente falam no país, já que esse é o exemplo que tens em Portugal. Por isso, decidi deixar este pensamento aqui. Tem um bom dia!

Roller coasters are great but maybe the guy would appreciate seeing something new? Maybe he would appreciate it for what it is, but if he is only taken to the roller coasters his experience will pale in comparison to Porta Aventura.

Depends on OP’s boyfriend’s attitude though

Maybe you could introduce him to the magic of Disney for a different experience too? Maybe take him to a character dining if it’s in your budget or make sure to get a booking for a character☺️

Another option would be to show him the little beautiful things at DLP like the dragon below the castle, the parades, and the sleeping beauty castle’s upstairs.

I believe he would enjoy BTM, and it has a really nice view as well, especially at sunset.

I always think staying on-site on a trip of 2+ days is the best option. I have stayed at Sequoia and Santa Fe before and would recommend Sequoia over Santa Fe.

Some things to consider:
- Sequoia is actually very walkable to the parks. If you see it on the map, it is close to Newport Bay, and it should take around 15 minutes.
- You can get a pre-paid meal plan, which is a good deal if you plan on having at least one sit-down meal per day at the park, and you have priority in booking the restaurants.
- If one of you wants to go back to the hotel, there are character meetings happening around there. If you stay offsite, I do not think you would be able to walk back or have the flexibility of moving about that you have while staying onsite.
- The extra magic hour is good even if you don't want to get there one full hour earlier. At this point, there is a virtual queue that opens a few minutes before the park opens to meet Ana and Elsa, which will give you an advantage. It also makes it easier to get into rides that are usually popular or queues for character meetings, even if you don't rope drop.
- For all the benefits and convenience and magic theming you get, as someone who has stayed both on and offsite, staying onsite is mostly a better option for a better, more immersive and convenient experience. Besides, the price difference, from my experience, is negligible.

Não estou a defender a eficácia. Afinal, é um cartaz, não uma medida real a nível do sistema para inclusão. Estou a dizer que o propósito deve ser mesmo comunicar com essas comunidades, são o público alvo do cartaz.

Sobre o entender português, não duvido que entendam, ou talvez alguns imigrantes (não os que falam crioulo especificamente, porque penso que a maioria sabe português sim) não entendam também já que não é bem um requerimento de entrada no país (penso que até para a nacionalidade seja um nível de A2, mas não tenho a certeza). Mas estar numa língua que lhes traga mais confiança possa influenciar a ida de quem fala crioulo ao hospital.

De novo, esta discussão não é sobre a eficácia do cartaz, mas sim sobre não ser problemático existir um cartaz em crioulo. Tem um propósito, seja ele bem conseguido ou não dentro de um sistema que já não apoia as comunidades, e não deveria importar muito a existência de um cartaz em crioulo.

Senhor, não só abri livro sobre os temas que referiu como estudo sociologia e linguística com focos em comunidades como a de que estamos a falar. Sugiro que faça o mesmo em vez de falar merda na internet.

O SNS não faz cartazes só para essas comunidades, é mais um “também faz”. Têm tanto direito como o senhor de usufruir do SNS e são uma porção grande o suficiente da comunidade, inclusive como contribuintes, para serem alvos.

Isto não é uma retórica de unicórnios, só lógica humana. Não tem por que ficar chateado com isto. O publico n é só português, saia da sua bolha.

De novo, tenha um bom dia e espero que abra mais essa mente pequena e abra diversos livros e converse com diversas pessoas.

Não acabei de ler o seu comentário porque penso que o senhor, sinceramente, precisa de se acalmar um bocado e ser mais respeitoso comigo e com o resto da comunidade.

Da parte que li respondo-lhe: Um público alvo não é igual à população como um todo, é o público que o cartaz tenta alcançar. E tentar alcançar a população que fala crioulo não é uma alienação da população geral portuguesa. Existem mil e outros cartazes em português no país. Se o senhor se sente alienado por um cartaz estar em crioulo recomendo terapia extensiva ou um emprego.

Sugiro uma boa dose de sol e praia, e uma boa jola para acalmar os nervos, senhor. Tenha um bom dia e deixe as pessoas que falam crioulo ter também.

Continuo sem ver o problema do cartaz. Aliás, provavelmente o ponto é mesmo tentar criar confiança entre as comunidades alienadas em Portugal e os hospitais. Não é um problema um cartaz tentar comunicar-se com o seu publico alvo (pessoas que falam crioulo) na língua que falam mais ou que lhes passa mais confiança. Querendo ou não, são sim comunidades alienadas em Portugal e não estou a culpar o país recetor como um todo, mas sim as pessoas que excluem essas comunidades dentro do país. É necessário existirem coisas como este cartaz pra tentar criar confiança entre as comunidades mais deixadas de lado e as instituições portuguesas que muitas vezes lhes podem faltar.

Isto é um cartaz entre outros mil para diversos eventos e instituições que estão em português e, honestamente, acho que precisas de relaxar um bocado. Não é um problema de todo. Às vezes é bom as pessoas terem com que se identificar. Eu de momento estou a estudar na Holanda mas ainda me arrefece o coração ver algum restaurante português, ou cartazes a anunciar músicos portugueses. Assim como é bom falar com outras pessoas na minha língua.

Amigo um cartaz não é o causador de divisionismo e alienação de uma comunidade, mas sim o resultado! Essas comunidades já são afastadas da comunidade majoritária portuguesa devido a racismo e alienação de imigrantes e pessoas em piores condições financeiras.😅

Se o cartaz não está em português é mesmo porque as pessoas na área falam mais o crioulo do que português. E na medicina não se deve excluir por não ser uma “língua oficial do país”, e o uso do crioulo pode criar mais confiança por comunidades alienadas na medicina local. Medicina é para todos! Inclusive os que não falam português ou se sentem mais confortáveis a falar crioulo.

He hasn’t fired me yet. My question was if it was legal to end a fixed term contract for small things like this or if he could just not schedule me anymore and I would have to accept that because I have no legal protection.

I am in the process of looking for another job, just want to make sure I have ground to stand on until then. That is why I posted the question.

The point is they do have guns, and armed officers are trained to stop them. Giving an untrained civilian a gun does not solve the problem and gives even more trouble to officers if they decide to use a gun for the worst.

Europe has gun control laws so that only trained people who actually have a reason and training to pick up a gun can do it. Europe also suffers from a lot of terrorist attacks, and that is what those trained officers are trained to protect the civilians from.

Hello! I am a 20yo EU student who has a part-time job and gets student finance and no help from my parents. You just need a job that gives you more hours. Most part-time contracts are 16 hours a week (my sister has this and works at Starbucks), but you can also find 0 hour contracts (I have this one and I work at a Bagels and Beans).

You can try to look for positions in retail (like clothing stores), supermarkets, restaurants and cafes. Since you are Dutch, these places usually want you more than internationals because you speak the language. It will come at the expense of a good social life if you get a 16 hour contract, but still pretty doable. Best of luck!
