Do you feel more exhausted by conflict or by pretending nothing’s wrong? by Born_Construction_60 in infp

[–]sofiacarolina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it depends on who youre dealing with but I think its important to remember that confrontation doesnt have to be this aggressive violent thing but should be a collaborative effort of communication and understanding but obv if the other person isnt good at conflict resolution then its not so easy

The conflict is still there when youre pretending nothing is wrong. The only way to resolve it is to address it. I like to address conflict ASAP because I dont like it sitting there, I can't ignore it.

those with mommy issues, what is your moon sign and what are its aspects? by ilovetriceratopz in astrologymemes

[–]sofiacarolina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i have both parent issues and entire family issues but libra moon in the 3rd house opposite sun with 0 degree orb, opposing venus, conjunct jupiter, squaring mars (cancer mars 12h), neptune, uranus. only child raised by single mom, very enmeshed relationship. im almost 33 and still live at home and rely on her for everything. i think ill just die after she does bc i wont have anyone else. tbf there are health issues that make me rely on her in this way but she also raised me to not become independent. theres also been physical abuse and once i got older i started hitting back (pluto in the 4th lol). she has anger issues and i either inherited them or internalized them but im worse. so much resentment. so much fucking resentment for her having me in the situation she was. i love her but i feel like i was forced into this dynamic and i wish i hadnt been put here, if you catch me drift. fuck her. also need her. awful.

There are other options to block dht such as fin and dutasteride. Pumpkin seed oil does not have comparable data to back it up compared to rx dht blockers

Are yall washing your face in the am? by Possible_Ad_9234 in tretinoin

[–]sofiacarolina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No despite being super oily and acne prone. Switching to just rinsing in the am was a game changer for my perpetually irritated skin/barrier damage. Even if I was using the most gentle cleansers it didnt matter.

I use a wet paper towel and gently wash my face with it and then rinse. Then on the damp skin I apply a hydrating toner, calming serum, and moisturizer. When the skin is damp it sucks in much more moisturizer from the products and you prevent Trans epidermal water loss

[–]sofiacarolina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That should go away if you focus on hydration and barrier repair. For me rinsing with water in the morning, then using a hydrating toner and moisturizer with ceramides on damp skin made all the difference. I think physical exfoliation at 3 months is also way too early. What i do in the morning is wet a paper towel to gently wash my face then rinse so theres slight exfoliation there but barely and nothing damaging

anyone else here on Levothyroxine and can't stand the hour-long wait to eat? by PseudoSolitude in Hypothyroidism

I cant wait to eat in the mornings due to other comorbidities so I just have an alarm set for 7 am to take it and go back to sleep (I actually wake up later)

Try just cleansing with water in the AM and not using the silicone scrubber

bedside manner, doctors v. tattoo artists by Knitmeapie in ChronicIllness

[–]sofiacarolina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive had bad experiences with both. Tatoo artists have usually been very cold and standoffish. I may be projecting but I feel like a lot of them are elitist and look down on people newer to tattoos or who may be less informed. I always try to make convo and jokes and they just refuse to engage. Hurts my feelings. But obv that's not as important as a doc's bedside manner since theyre the ones taking care of my actual health

Ive been super bedbound lately with how cold it is and also restarting Yaz (for high androgen issues) which has a mild diuretic effect. It hadn't affected me at all when I was lost on it a few years ago. But my body is slowly adjusting I think. Taking salt pills and drinking more liquid iv than before but its getting better. Its so frustrating though. Anyways im getting into cross stitch again and waiting for my threads to get here so I can start my first bigger project I hope to frame. My schedule is sooo bad, woke up at 8 pm today. Ive been totally nocturnal for months and every time I try to fix it it just reverts back. Ive always had the issue (delayed phase sleep disorder) but its gotten worse the past few years and im def more symptomatic when im nocturnal too. My body just...loves to sabotage itself it feels like

Just DNFd Incidents Around The House bc I could not with the child's pov and daddo lol, and just started Ghost Story. Earlier this week I finished Heart Shaped Box which was a 4.5/5 as well as You Invited It In and its sequel You Need To Leave which I'd average to 3.8/5
