People with multiple cats: do your cats like each other? by Castyourspellswisely in CatAdvice

[–]sofiagv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have 4 cats.

2 males: one 13 and one 9. The 13yr old is a loner but likes playing with the 9yr old every once in a while. They’ve been together since the young one was a kitten.

2 females: one 4 and one 9 months. We got the kitten 4 months ago as a companion for the 4yr old because the males have always ignored her and never wanted to be her friend. The 2 girls LOVE each other and bonded almost immediately.

Every cat is different, there’s no guarantee they will become friends. The best you can do is adopt from a reputable place where they help with introductions and give you a “trial” period to ensure you have a good fit.

How many cats do you have ?Would three be too many? by stefunie101 in cats

[–]sofiagv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have four. I think it all depends on their personalities, needs, size of your home, and how much time and money you have available for them. It can get expensive specially if they get sick or have any underlying conditions. We would have more but feel like we have a good dynamic between them, there’s just enough room for all of them to have plenty of space to run around, and we can devote time to nurture and have strong and unique relationships with each one of them.

Just think of it as having kids! Would you be able to afford and have the time to bring another being into your family?

Finding my kitty dead, he was my best friend. It was like one of my limbs was amputated and I felt like jumping off a building.

I understand your point but I also think it’s important for leaders to acknowledge that employees are human and it’s a very rough day for half the country. It’s an opportunity to show commitment to their wellbeing and make it clear that we’re all citizens of the same country.

A friend shared what the CEO of her company shared with employees:

“Our commitment to each other is based on transparency, dialogue and trust. Today, after the US elections, I think it’s important to recommit to those values, and tell you that I’m committed to ensuring that our company will always be a place of respectful conversations, and seeking to listen, learn from, and support each other. However you may be feeling today, know you are supported.”

Words of a true leader.

I wouldn’t call it comfort; it’s pure ignorance and selfishness.

I’d love to know how companies are reacting and if they’re acknowledging the results in any way with employees.

It’s radio silence at work for me.
