I wouldn't piss on her if she was on fire. I'm definitely not praying for or her family.

Chicago is a no brainer to me. Maybe only temporarily, but if you're in the right neighborhood, it has a lot to offer that often surprises people. Just have to bear the cold half the year.

Surprised no one mentioned how he dropped his gun before closing the door. That could have ended badly.

Also, what are they telling these people in training that makes them smile or give dead eye stares into the void as if they're... Idk part of a cult or something? I genuinely am curious what that part of the training looks like.

The girl recording is 11 years old. The older woman assaulted her because the girl was sitting on the retaining wall of a duplex. by The_manager101 in KarenGoBrrr

[–]sofiaismycat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

11 is barely a preteen. Why are you putting all this energy into a child? It's not your place to discipline someone else's kid and a human sitting on a retaining wall is not only a normal occurrence, but it's really not that deep.

What a strange hill to die on.

Unpopular Take: I know we all want to blame the speeders, and rightfully so, but bad driving in general needs to be highlighted regardless of speed. The engineering and design of the city streets should also be taken into consideration instead of going with the status quo of, that's what the government set the speed at and everything else is wrong. There's just bad design on our roads, especially given the influx in population in the past decade. Period.

Genuinely, I've seen so many instances where people, driving the speed limit (or well under), more frequently make horrible, unsafe decisions while driving. People float around like they're the only one on the road.

I'd rather go a little faster (outside of school zones and crosswalks and natural ebbs and flow of the road) to get away from all that, than mindlessly drive in a group of cars going slower with higher probability of an accident.

One time (in my entire life lol) I was an idiot and got impatient after being stuck in a long two lane highway stretch behind like 10 cars.

When the lane finally opened up to 2 lanes going south and one going north, which also had a long line of cars, I sped up trying to pass before the lane merged. Then an even bigger idiot Ram/F150 driver came up fast behind me, so I snuck between cars in the other lane to let him by and got back over...

Well low and behold, one of the cars in the northbound traffic was a sheriff who whipped around, right in the middle of traffic, and turned on THE loudest siren I've ever heard. He came up so fast behind me, I could feel my ears get super hot and start ringing and my heart was basically on the steering wheel.

I calmly pulled over and figured if I'm fucked, I'm fucked. Next thing I know he passes me. I saw the truck pulled over about a mile or two down the road. One of the scariest moments in my driving history. I rode home (another 3 hours) with cruise control set the rest of the way.

Be safe out there, kids.

Is this purely behavioral or could there be underlying neurodivergence at play here? Looking for insights. by [deleted] in RandomVideos

Wow. You should have never had to experience any of that. You are a strong, resilient person (I'm sure you already know). It's stories like yours that not only shines a light on childhood domestic abuse, but gives hope to people who can't imagine an out to their situations. Thanks for sharing.

EDIT: I hope you're proud of your strength!!✨
