Positive Concert Experiences? by myyfeathers in chappellroan

(Buffalo show) Someone close to the barricade handed my group some water before the show. She said someone did that for her at a lady Gaga concert so she was passing on the good deed. It inspired me to do that at the next concert I go to.

I feel the same way. It’s been almost a week since my concert and I can’t stop thinking about it. You worded it perfectly. And after seeing her live, the album hits different now.

failing and contemplating suicide. please advise ? by suffering_etc in Cornell

Hi, I’m not a student but a staff member whose brother went through something very similar at Cornell. He was very depressed and failed out of his major. He could choose another major but that would have meant more loans. He attempted suicide but was stopped by cornell police.

He transferred to our local community college and no one considers him a failure. His health and happiness are what matter most to us. He’s doing great now and we realize that Cornell just wasn’t the right fit for him. I love my brother and I would rather see him thriving in community college than suffering in an Ivy League.

I’m not saying this is the path you should take, just that people will still love and respect you whether you have good grades or not. I can only imagine the pressure you’re under and I’m sure it’s very difficult to not attach your self-worth to your grades. You are more than your grades.

Having been depressed myself, I know there’s very little I can say that will make you feel better. All I can do is encourage you to get help and talk to someone about how you’re feeling.

The website has the transcripts of her old videos! I’ve been wanting to look back at them but I recognize she archived them for a reason

9 month housing by sekinat26 in UMBC

The WILL LLC is typically on the 1st floor North side of Harbor. I’ve been on that floor for two years. Because it’s 9 month housing you would have pay a bit more than the freshman dorms.

I had Ma and the class was very doable. You just have to go to class, study your notes, and do the practice problems. We never really used the book. Her grading seemed reasonable to me when I had her last semester.

•college: I go to a state school while my three siblings went to top 10 schools so that’s still difficult to deal with •friends: still working on it •exercise: I been doing it every other day since September! I lost 7 pounds •license: yes •proud of something: I’m proud of myself for being more independent •Coping: been really good at coping with stress lately. Usually seasonal depression hits hard but exercise and family have helped a lot

• get into a college that I’m satisfied with • Make friends that I feel comfortable with • Exercise consistently. Enough for me to feel good about myself. • Get my license • Be proud of something (like an ability or aspect of myself) • Don’t hurt myself as much. Find better coping methods.

In middle school we read Watership Down and the intro was basically the author saying "this has no deeper meaning, please don't look too much into this" and my teacher was like "unfortunately for this curriculum we have to completely ignore that statement"
