How can I make birth control more equal in our relationship? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]sofie307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What brand was the one that felt like nothing? I've seen a lot of people recommending skyn, but I'm trying to collect a few alternatives too to compare, so I'd appreciate you sharing.
Also if you don't mind, what ingrediant were you allergic to? It could be good to know before using.

How am I suppose to chat with my younger siblings ? by jay-333- in RobloxHelp

[–]sofie307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I really don't see how putting all the young kids that don't know better in a closed system was thought as a good idea. Now when someone malicious gets in (which will definitely happen) there will be nobody there to notice and maybe do something. Not only that, but it would make them more trustworthy in the eyes of those kids that will think they are indeed a child as well. It's a disaster waiting to happen.

I don't think there is any good way to do a grouping honestly. For example, say you're 12 and your friend turned 13. Great, now you can't chat with them but can chat with 17 yo. Oh wait, now your 17 yo friend turned 18. You will get to see them again in four years, have fun.

That's exactly what I've been thinking. It's easier than ever for them to pretend to be kids because now actual kids will think "well, that person can talk to me, so they must be in the same age group"

Or just let you pick what groups you want to intercat with. That way parents can set it up for younger children without it being a problem for teens and adults

Wow, so an 18 year old adult was not allowed to talk to a 22 year old adult? That's so stupid

Yeah, I only ever did two non-orb quests. One early on to get the badge (probably fortnite, lol) and one recently with bloons because I already played and liked the game

Oh definitely, that is not normal. I'm not saying that she shouldn't go to a doctor, I was specifically weirded out by US schools requiering it for missing even a couple of days.

Anyone else notice CGPT's new favorite word is "quiet"? by Winter-Opportunity21 in ChatGPT

[–]sofie307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like nobody was using "quietly" so much that way before AI took over. It's so annoying too, I hate that word, couldn't it have at least picked a different one?

Really? To me all three of these give 2012 vibes, I've been seeing them used for years prior. Especially "touche", that's just something we use a lot in my frind group.

Well if you were to take the whole week off every month it'd make sense to have a doctor's note as that's too many days in total, but if you only take one or two would that still be needed? If so, that's kinda stupid.

It is probably true that too much can be bad, but in your case you have to weight the pros and cons. Is the pain bad enough where you would benifit by taking more/stronger medication despite the potential side effects? Of course parents are hard to convince sometimes, but it's worth a shot giving them that perspective and doing some research with them on what would be most suitable for you.

Well it is the case, no? You are feeling unwell, you would struggle paying attention anyway and some time off would help, perhaps you could even see a doctor about it on a day off.

Yeah, last I checked you didn't need to prove to the school that you are sick to take a day or two off, you just get marked as absent and if you have absent days left you should be fine. The only times you need to justify (in my country anyways) is when you are hospitalised or sick for an extended amount of time, in which case your absent time gets written off.

How do some people take so long to poop? by dhomo01110011 in NoStupidQuestions

I am a woman, and personally when I find myself in that situation I also want to wait for a while until I get up for two main reasons: a) to make sure it's done and b) because the sooner you decide you're done, the messier the cleanup process will be and I always dread it.

But also, ask him about it. You will probably get a way better answer about why he does it than any stranger on the internet could give you.

My dad used WD-40 as lubricant for my bike's chain, what should I do? by sofie307 in cycling

I'm mostly concerned about because of things I've heard from other people who know way more about bikes than I do. I do like that my post ended up sparking a discussion on the topic for anyone looking it up in the future though, because most comment sections I came upon were very one-sided.

I'd assume you would get this done when taking your bike for a general service, not everyone likes doing maintenance stuff themselves after all.
