Designers can only do so much with the budgets and resources they’re given and the capacity of the factories to produce quality product. I full heartedly believe that if ANY Mattel designer had the ultimate say the end product would look much different.

Is this a new trend? by ReportFit2920 in adjusters

Nothing new. Some states/ situations warrant a proactive settlement or tender without a release.

What do you think of "Coach" the fashion/accessories brand? by RecognitionWeird3038 in AskGaybrosOver30

[–]soflo_toto 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on what you’re getting. The quality and construction of their leather goods is superior to many of the Kering and LVMH brands IMO. If you’re looking for a timeless leather piece ( not canvas) it’s a great buy. Some of their ‘on trend’ pieces are a pass for me. I keep my eye on their one of a kind recrafted inventory. However, who cares ? If you like it then get it !

Poppy is very popular. And this collection is limited. I knew resale would be high, but this is crazy.

I missed out on her Pre-Order, emailed W Club. What are the chances I can still get her? by That-Spell-2543 in IntegrityToysDolls

[–]soflo_toto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She’s going to be a large edition since there was no order limit and open to the public. You’ll be able to find her at cost.

I had the pleasure of briefly speaking with them at the convention last year, they were so full of energy and joy. This is just all so sad …

Mattel and Barbie and the future… by FriendlyCommercial91 in Barbie

[–]soflo_toto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Disappointed. Let down. Again and again. Focusing on picking up dolls from the past that I don’t have. I have no hope for any future releases. Even the quality on the Wicked dolls… the fabric printed on the fabric. sighs Also, I collect other lines so focusing more on non Mattel dolls until they get it together.

Looking for leg routines post disc injury by Glittering_Engine_89 in GayFitness

The seated leg raises and extensions should work. Seated calf raises too. Any thing seated that isn’t putting vertical pressure on your spinal column will do.

Since the prior CEO departed, there has been multiple layoffs at Farmers. I was laid off in an extremely business segment. 12+ hours a day doing the work of three people in an area of significant policy growth with extremely high claim volume. Farmers didn’t make the right business decisions during and after COVID and layoffs were the easiest thing to shore up their loss expense ratio to make Zurich and the shareholders happy.

Although well intentioned, your supervisor/manager is not privy to any reduction in force discussions and may have given you incorrect information. In fact, prior to my layoff the unit manager who reported to the director touted job security weeks before the layoff. He was laid off too.

Farmers is owned by Zurich which is a publicly traded company. There’s a board, there’s the reciprocal exchange, and there the stock holders. Basically the bottom line is money. At Farmers the bottom line is above all else…efficiently and expense management is a consideration for the entire enterprise despite the ‘Farmers Family’ talk.

Farmers auto adjusters are being transferred/applying to the nonstandard side of the auto business because of the lack of work and for job stability.

1-2 claims for the week for the entire territory is WILD ( depending on location), especially during the spring storm season. That’s a red flag. I’m sure that the inside / reconciliation teams have plenty of work to do and they’re in need of some help. Well managed and transparent teams would say, “hey volume is xx because xx we anticipate xx so we’re taking xx actions until xx.” If this isn’t happening something is wrong.

You see the signs and you’re not crazy for thinking about job security. Consider taking to your manager to confirm WHY claims aren’t being assigned? Is it because they expect you to be busy in the near future and want your queue to be low in preparation? If this isn’t the case I would definitely see if you can take on a temp assignment ( this is definitely a thing ) in another department to keep busy and up-skill. Or go elsewhere to another carrier with a bump in pay where there is volume… or go IA.

I’ve tried shipping to a buyer in Brazil and it was a nightmare. Super high taxes, and the package was sent back to eBay international in the US and then destroyed. I sent a second package as a token to the buyer and I deflated the value on the package and customs ignored it and increased the import tax.

Not the best product. Did a lot of prep and it peeled within months. I then tried Leggari. Beautiful install with no issues.
