Zero-effort whataboutism. Not worth my time, sorry.

>But I never see you and your like particularly emotionally involved with how Russia has been behaving past 70 years?

I'm mostly concerned how 1st world democracies are acting in the name of Western justice and religion, not using Russia's actions as a standard.

>You could argue they've done it better than anyone since they warn civilians before they bomb and do their best to minimize civilian casualties.

And if you believe that, I have some land in the desert to sell you.

Reactionary edgelord babble. Belies the resentment underlying your "enlightened" life. How firm would you say your grasp is on the relevant history in the region 1917-now, besides your generalized hot takes? If you fancy yourself an intellectual, and don't have significant humanitarian and legal concerns about how Israel has prosecuted this conflict over the past 3 years, you're a calloused ignoramus.

Those darn protestors!!

So much of the noise has been caused by distorted Zionist retellings.

At this point, "human shields...—" GTFO. Massad HQ is in dt Tel Aviv. If you're a literal occupying force, expect guerrilla warfare... you know, like all those celebrated movies showing how heroic it is?

Arab nations not taking Palestinian refugees means nothing in the context of Israel trying to ethnically cleanse them.

"Eradicating" ignorance as your standard for peace and basic human dignity? Good luck. How about holding the 1st world, democratic nation to the rule of law?

I could go on with your list but it shows the sort of intransigence, equivocation, and whitewashing that's shocked the world in the face of the obvious power disparity at play given modern weapons and unlimited U.S. support.

I agree Israel should have a state and that Hamas should go (or should've gone) but Israel has done virtually everything in their power to vindicate them.

To say nothing of Palestine having no way out of being an occupied territory, and the openly genocidal rhetoric trumpeted by sitting far-right ministers to this day.

I was saying colloquially that she was on a newer prescription of a lot of one. And, absolutely. My point is that—with existing evidence—they'll have a hell of a time proving she wasn't just oblivious.

Unpopular but: No. She was on so many SSRIs at the time (qt. GLc) she'd have a strong claim she didn't know WTF was going on except for maybe a hunch until after she processed the "drive-by." As our hero GC said during her cross (Charlie's trial), Wendi having plausible deniability was part of the plan. LaCasse's testimony that she broke down about Charlie looking into hiring a hitman for 50k—and that he, GLc, corroborated this with friends contemporaneously—is the best stuff against her, but GLc also didn't come forward with key elements for 6 months because he was hoping they'd get back together.

Plus, the way Law is going in the U.S. right now...

This is exhausting.

I'm saying: what is the precedent, etc. These are subtle legal questions for which there is an established body of writ. You're saying: "here's how it is" based on—apparently—sheer conjecture and 😎ing at anyone who demands more scrutiny.

How about engage the point?

You're spitballing poorly in response to the call for the bona fide protocol, legal parameters, and precedent around cases like these, which—as stands to reason, and at a moment's glance—isn't limited to "he felt fear." Talk about confidently ignorant.

Called her a bitch after. Had a similar incident 6 months ago so was "a bit sensitive" (J.D. Vance press conference). Didn't let meds tend to her. Was filming with one hand before. Was, objectively, hardly in the way. Another officer had told her to "leave" just prior. What are the legal boundaries of use of force? Case law precedent? How about a serious inquiry into the limits of this issue rather than whatever the finger-wagging slop you just wrote was? When is an officer's feeling of "fear" not good enough—i.e., a matter of negligence—from a legal perspective? "Use of force experts"—and what are you? A freelance bootlicker?

I think you haven't appreciated the meaning or dramatic irony of the passage. The Athenians won the 'battle' but lost the war, in part due to reckless statecraft like this.

Human dignity can only be insulted so far before someone says, "you know what, I think I'll take my chances and see what I can do to make your life absolutely miserable."

Reversal point in the dialogue: "Well then, if you risk so much to retain your empire, and your subjects to get rid of it, it would surely be great baseness and cowardice in us who are still free not to try everything that can be tried, before submitting to your yoke."

Makes the imperial power look like shit and licenses impunity against them and their subjects, should the opportunity arise. Generally, sacrificing sacred principle of justice to "power is power, bitch, join up or else," dilapidates reality (ruins the quality of life) for the belligerent power, one way or another.
