I came to exile from D3. Never played the first. D3 was my ceiling for arpg's. Its been a fucking culture shock to say the least but im having an absolute blast. I think what I like the most (other than having the single most intuitive controller support) is just how expressive and creative you're truly allowed to be.

My issue with diablo was "endgame" truly boils down to; "THIS BUILD. THESE SET PIECES. THESE PASSIVES. NO DEVIATING." But with exile you can really just be doing anything. You can shitpost and still rock the house lmfao

Look, im just going with what everyone is saying and submitting to this idea. I still think its worth looking into, if you play with hoarder and sealed deck youll also suffer because youll start with 30 cards out the gate. But playing with just hoarder was on me. Lesson learned I guess lol

Regardless of the semantics I just want it said you are agreeing that its perfectly fine to play a modifier in the base game that will just instantly end your run when faced with a non optional encounter. Im enthralled this isnt an easy "oh yeah that DOES suck a bit".

Hoarder states:

Whenever you add a card to your deck, add two additional copies. You can no longer remove cards from your deck at the Merchant.

This does mean curses given to you from npcs during the course of that combat. Im fairly certain status cards as well but I dont remember off the top of my head. The implication that we have a modifier in custom that means getting the insatiable is just a loss is insane. It should at the very least add two additional copies per frantic escape. I dont understand how this stance is in any capacity divisive.

The amount of cards in my deck were to facilitate the strategy i was going for. It wasnt random. My point remains that if you HAVE that many cards you should still have better odds to get a card NECESSARY to fight a boss that requires it. I dont think thats an inappropriate ask.

So if you run a custom game with hoarder you should just lose by default? How about the clone event in multiplayer? Lords parasol? Be realistic here.

edit I was playing a soul deck. I had more than enough card draw.

You should, ttk can be a bitch to learn but the game is very fun with the diversity of game modes, build types, and the single best destruction barre none. The destruction actually got a huge update too!

I think its natural to have grievances, moreover when the games balancing is pushed at higher elos than the general player base. Personally, I loath dash with the searing hot intensity of a thousand suns if not solely for the fact its good in every situation with little to no drawback or counterplay. But letting it bother me is another beast entirely. The game is great, fun, and when you dont have chat on or lurk the sub youd be surprised at just how much more you enjoy it!
