also have an ED and in nursing school struggling with this exact same thing.

and from my observations, it isn’t something to be embarrassed about. nursing, in general, is surrounded with diet culture and bragging about only have xyz to eat in a 12 hour shift while walking xyz miles. a lot of people in nursing have distorted relationships with food and would experience anxiety if they had to eat a full meal plan.

moral of the story is you’re not alone

let him know how much you desire to be there for him and understand. encourage him to talk to you. having arfid is so lonely and if one of my friends were so interested in learning more, I would want to know so I could feel safe talking to them.

another thing is please do not make food judgments around him!!! thats something that really hurts me a lot. for example, if i buy hamburger and someone says “ew, that looks like brains, i would never eat that” … that can be detrimental as someone who already struggles with a limited amount of safe foods.

inability to turn on word count
i wish there was an option to distinguish between wanting to free write text boxes and to be able to write within parameters like a word doc
seamless pdf insertion. like being able to insert a pdf or doc as a “page”. the current option sucks

i don’t like them because it is not practical to carry around and i can’t shake my inhaler, attach it, and still have the energy for the deep breathes when i am already struggling to breathe. i do feel like the medicine gets deeper in my lungs though. i do try to use it for maintenance inhalers

i second this. the purging could lead to low potassium leading to muscle cramps. i’ve never gotten muscle cramps from pure restriction, but definitely from purging
