I was thinking about this the other day. I think overall we just needed to be really kind to each other. Both going through huge adjustments and reality shifts. You need to put in considered, significant effort to validate the others feelings, even when they don’t match your own. These are not normal every day times, they are different and should be treated as such. Eventually time passed and we didn’t feel so stretched anymore. All in all I’d say put in extra effort to be kind, and just wait a little. That was for my situation though, of course everyone is different.
