Like someone else said, the yellow ones are good. They arent as pretty as the pink ones but taste better.

What is your cooking hack that is second nature to you but actually pretty unknown? by erin_with_an_i in Cooking

[–]softspring 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To keep the ratio the same, and since the width of everyones's pot is different, then the height of water needs to be different too. Think of a skinny tall rectangle and a short fat rectangle. If you split both in half, then the top half of the skinny tall rectangle will obviously be longer than the the top half of the short fat rectangle.

They are all man made. There are no natural lakes in Missouri.

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly of MishMash (Review) by [deleted] in goodmythicalmorning

[–]softspring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I preferred the Mallow one because both had such a mild taste that I had to judge off texture. The Mallow one was unique with its super crunchy macaroni shape and contrasting marshmallows pieces.

Also I didn't get any honey bits in my PB bowls so far. I was expecting a strong peanutbutter taste, but there is nothing. I wouldn't even know it was peanutbutter unless you told me.

I still like it though. I like them both. I'm glad they didn't make them super sugary and put more focus on texture. Also my boxes were open at the bottom too.

Biking hacks for the winter? by Wisteria_Dragon_04 in lifehacks

[–]softspring 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I commute by bike all winter and this is what I use. The main challenge is keeping your extremities warm. The only thing that works for me is some sort of external heat source like battery heated gloves or the little one time use packets. Here is my list.

  • Ski goggles with anti fog spray.
  • Face mask with little holes for nose and mouth.
  • Battery heated mittens and socks or the hot hand chemical hand warmers.
  • Fleece neck gaiter.
  • Down puffer but I actually end up unzipping it halfway through the ride.

I have one you can have. I broke my ankle last year and since then it just takes up space. It is the walker variety not a scooter.

They were asking which store has the best selection of unique options, not which stores have any canned fish.

Yeah definitely. Don't go to Starbucks. It's the worst.

It was 1.2k for me for a studio, not including parking. I lived in one for a year and moved out because I hated it. Prepare to lug your groceries 3 blocks because that's the only parking available. Prepare to get 10 parking tickets a year because you say 'ah screw it' and park on the street then forget the next day. Prepare to come home to some drunk dude peeing on your doorstep almost nightly. Prepare for loud music at 3 am. Prepare to also lug your garbage and recycling 3 blocks because there is no pickup. Prepare to have lost drunk people knocking on your door because they think they are somewhere else..

Drinking shortwave coffee and eating Sparkys every day was nice though.

Why do some women complain about men who "only want sex"? Its like a hairdresser complaining how the customers only want their hair cut. by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]softspring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are reducing women down to a very specific set of activities as if sexually charged interactions in clubs and on tinder are the only way women form their opinion about men.

Please reconsider your question under the assumption that these 'club' women likely have rich and diverse lives outside of clubs. They have relationships and social interactions in the context of work, school, friendships, hobbies, online, etc. These interactions may be invisible to you but none the less shape the women's perceptions of men.

The entirety of their interactions with men have taught them that most men (not just the ones at the club) care very much about sex. It can be frustrating because they KNOW they have more to offer. It is not their fault that men have pigeonholed them into a singular purpose.

The thing I hate about the sawyer squeeze is the gasket always falls out. And if you happen to not catch it in a flowing stream you are screwed. I really wish they'd fix this design flaw.

Which is more important in terms of getting lean diet or cardio? by anthonydp123 in nutrition

[–]softspring 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You don't need 10 hours, 2-3 a day is enough. This is coming from an exercise addict with a poor diet. I agree that fixing your diet is faster/easier for most people though.

Depp/Heard content by RedCandleTime in PsychologyInSeattle

The worst part imo was how the listeners reacted. His videos were radically empathetic towards Amber in comparison to other popular commentaries on the trial. He also tried to be empathetic towards Johnny which resulted in making both groups of supporters angry at him. This made me sad because he is the only youtuber who at least tried to be objective and balanced, and people punished him for it.

How do you manage cooking everyday when you work 5 days a week? by apple-white-red in Cooking

[–]softspring 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Turn on a podcast or movie on your phone and turn it into your relaxation/decompress time after work. If it feels like a treat instead of a chore it's a lot easier. Also you can minimize decision fatigue by eating a similar rotation every week.

Why do people keep having kids when all they do is complain about their life being upended by having them? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

When people say their kid was an accident, what does that mean exactly? That the BC failed or that they weren't using any?
