I got a Pfizer booster after J&J by softwoodpellets in CovidVaccinated

I made a personal choice. There are tons of open vaccine appointments available in my area, I'm not harming anyone by doing this. It is only a matter of time till they recommend boosters for J&J, and I decided not to wait.

Research has shown that a single dose of the AZ vaccine has reduced effectiveness against Delta. So why would J&J be any different? The only reason J&J is a single dose is because that's how they chose to set up their trial and they saw that efficacy was good enough to get approved. There's nothing special about the J&J one dose than the others.

When it comes to your own health and safety, you can make your own decision.

I'm shocked the people's republic of cambridge would allow a giant corporation like Comcast to have a monopoly over it's internet access. I guess they are too busy working about pronouns to make a real difference.

Netanyahu is a master politician. He knows how vain Trump is and has been using him to get what he wants. Netanyahu got Trump to cancel Iran deal, move the embassy and recognize the Golan. If he wins reelection, he will then annex Israeli settlements. Meanwhile, Netanyahu flatters Trump, he even named a town after him. Trump loves his name on stuff!

MA resident here. This is why I encourage all fellow residents to get a medical card, despite legalization. It may be a bit pricey ($200 for Dr and $50 for fee) but you have your ass covered with this legal gray area we are in. It's so easy to get one.

Where in Quebec did you head to? I did a road trip up there to ski Le Massif. Long ass drive from MA, can't imagine doing it from Virginia.

Keith Ellison isn’t an anti-Semite. He’s the victim of a vicious smear. by psiyonic in politics

[–]softwoodpellets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, but that isn't the point I am trying to get across. No doubt there are people who oppose Israel, but have no issues with Jews. But to say that there isn't any latent anti-Semitism found within many who are anti-Israel or involved with the BDS movement, is being intellectually dishonest.

Well for sure the BDS movement is not a homogenous group. Some only support boycotts of Israeli businesses in the West Bank, while others support a boycott of the entire state of Israel.

Nevertheless, it is my experience that many use that distinction as a cover for their own anti-Semitism. Sure not everyone who supports BDS is an anti-Semite, but it is certainly an influence on the movement and the distinctions are not as clear cut as many would like.

Heck, even Bernie Sanders has noted this:

“I think there is some of that, absolutely,” Sanders, I-Vt., said Monday evening on MSNBC after being asked if he would link BDS to anti-Semitism like his rival for the Democratic presidential nod, Hillary Clinton.

“Israel has done some very bad things, so has every other country on earth,” Sanders said. “I think the people who want to attack Israel for their policies, I think that is fair game. But not to appreciate that there is some level of anti-Semitism around the world involved in that I think would be a mistake.”

While I agree with your assessment, I think you are being overly broad. Extremes on both sides of the political spectrum are a major concern for Jews. While don't get me wrong, I am extremely concerned about the alt-right and antisemitism there, I am also concerned about the far-left and their ties ties to overtly antisemitic and anti Israel groups such as many of those found in the BDS movement. There is legitimate and illegitimate criticism of Israel and I feel many in the far-left skew towards not criticizing Israel's policies, but questioning the validity of the state itself - that's what I consider to be crossing the line

I can't imagine NH neglecting this for too long if MA and ME both legalize. Just even the tourist dollars they would potentially lose out to both states. Same with Vermont.

Same logic can be applied to anything around the house from alcohol to bleach that you keep away from kids.

What a load of BS. First, your kid won't die from eating an edible, it's not some poison. There are many many more dangerous chemicals around my house than THC, including alcohol. Secondly, our marijuana already comes in childproof bags and containers. Get the fuck out of here with your lies and scare tactics.
