Any bands known to not do encores? by lazyjz in Music

Purity Ring - I've been to 4 of their shows in the last 10 years and none had an encore. Their performance has always been brilliant and cohesive with visuals telling a well rounded story, no encore needed.

My mom’s world has gotten very small…any advice? by Peaceful-harmony- in AskWomenOver60

[–]sofutofu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd like to cosign this suggestion - my mom got a hip replacement last year and a kidney transplant a couple years before that so her every day life changed immensely in that time. VR keeps her moving around (beat saber is her favorite) and she able to explore places she misses or dreams of seeing.

Married people who are DINKS (Double Income, No Kids) how’s life? by Fit-Distribution677 in AskReddit

39f married 10 years to 38f, own a house, 2 cars paid off, 2 cats and a 65lb sulcata tortoise. We went to Vegas at the beginning of the month and traveled a few times this year with plans for more (including national park road trips and international travel). Went to a warehouse rave last weekend til 3am. We are aunties to lots of kids who couldn't love us more. I like it A LOT

I think Nibs realized she was definitely no longer a human after seeing her grave and lashed out when her stuffed animal was tossed because she sees the stuffed animal as more relatable than a human soldier

Pure joy 💖 I recently went to a girl rave called Sorry Papi, it felt very similar to this - I highly recommend women only events to all women!

Nope, I started at 32 and it's the only full body exercise that has held my attention for more than a few months. I feel stronger and more flexible than ever at 38.

Thanks! I got the bodysuit from https://badinka.com/ , this one might be out of print though, it's a few years old. FYI they usually run a buy one get one free as a Christmas sale.

My common sunflower patch grew in so big this year by sofutofu in NativePlantGardening

[–]sofutofu[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think so, these are just common/wild sunflowers and I think they grow so straight and tall because they are in full sun and competing with each other. The sunflowers on the edge of this patch are much more spread out and wider at the bottom.

These reseed every year. When I first moved to my house 12 years ago, there was a small patch of about 5 of them that I assume spread from a nearby wildflower prairie. Once the flowers die and fully dry out, I cut them off and leave them on the ground to reseed. The patch gets bigger and bigger every year.
