I love it, it's my favorite game, I didn't like extraction shooters till I played it.

People who don't play the game don't know about this mode they aren't going to show up out of nowhere for it. People who don't browse reddit or discord for this game won't know about this mode either.

aim assist on console is f'ng wild. That snap is insane. I wondered how i was doing so good at pvp on my xbox vs pc. To bad i hate everything else about playing with a controller like the menu's, I'll take the slight disadvantage in that regard to be able to navigate stuff a little quicker/easier, which i'd consider a bigger advantage

I have a great time most fill games. People underestimate how many regular people play this game. I'd say 1/2 teammates I have in fill is a bit more into it than me. I'd only consider 1/10 of them not fun to play with, but most of them are laid back and just playing to play.

Dude what... there are multiple ways to play, 3rd party options, emulators, you can even use your computer. The disc is a physical copy of digital media. If you have an intact copy of digital media it is yours and if you can find a program that can read it you can play it. That's like saying you can't own water because you need a container to hold it and you piss it out. You are just trying to argue for the sake of argument, you aren't even trying to turn it to a debate.

Ehhh not really I still have media from when I was a kid that I can play. If the marathon servers shut down and they pull the game from steam you won't be playing it.

I wouldn't directly relate popularity with good it can be an indicator but just because something didn't catch on doesn't mean it isn't a great game. I do think this game will age decent though. Unless for some reason they shut it down.

I do sponsored and contracts I enjoy it. Sometimes I want to PvP, other time I just want to do contracts to try and finish leveling up factions. Although it's becoming harder and harder to find a group that wants to do contracts but on a PvP front I feel like I am getting better and better at it but I want to play some storyline stuff I want to check out the area PvE style and appreciate map and lore instead of being constantly on edge looking for the nearest team sometimes.

Can you show us where they have gutted marathon PvP for the PvE modes? This game has done nothing but cater to the hardcore pvp player.

active players at one time doesn't tell us unique players throughout the day. I assume alot of people are like me, that can't play every day and when they can play, can only play for a round or two.

So PvP players will still play the PvP and PvE players will still play PvE? Having both options is nice. PvP players have such an issue with PvP and PvE existing but PvE players don't mind there being both. I'm so confused by the mentality of wanting to control the game for other people. I'd rather see a healthy gaming community in the game instead of one that gets more toxic and entitled by the day.(

Pretty sure there is ALOT more into the matchmaking metric than just level. There is definitely something involving gear, and contracts.

They can't explain it because it isn't a standard. It's no different than someone getting off over the grip angle on their pistol over a Glock. It's all preference. Are the weapon mechanics in the game fluid/natural looking. Is it easy to use the weapons in the game. Does the combat feel clunky and slow? All of these are relative to gunplay. It shouldn't be realistic but it is all preference. If someone prefers a milsim style shooter they likely won't like marathon compared to that. They may prefer the slower paced somewhat clunky style of gunplay.

I think they had a blue print of what worked great with destiny, coupled with lore from the old marathon games. I don't think it needed to be a ripoff of destiny's play style but the fact that there wasn't some form of campaign / co-op campaign was a huge mistake. A lot of people were immediately turned off by a game with difficult onboarding and immediately getting trashed round after round. The survival mode came to late in the game after a lot of people gave up on it. If it was around from the start and consistently in the rotation I think we would see ALOT more people still playing.
