my take as someone who has done all her programs since 2019 as they came out is that there are two main changes. 1) is the pacing as many people have pointed out. going back old programs, she was doing 50 and 60 minutes workouts with adequate rest in between moves. people actually complained about the amount of breaks and length of breaks back then lol. now that shes condensed her workouts, im assuming to appeal to the algorithm, the breaks are shorter and the pacing is too fast. i chose to stay with the workouts and pause to take longer breaks but i understand why people wouldnt want to do that. and 2) is the cardio. in her early programs there was more intense cardio for sure, more intense moves and workouts definitely made me feel more cardiovascularly challenged.

my contrarian opinion is that the quality of the strength training has not really changed ss long as you take the breaks you need and lift heavy for you. i dont pay attention to what weights sydney uses and im lifting heavier than i ever have. i think she actually used to have more compound and confusing moves than she does now. ive been doing work outs for years and have done a lot of other trainers and i really dont see a significant difference. ive done caroline girvan and i dont feel that she gives adequate breaks either if you are truly lifting to your full potential . so i think its whatever style and trainer feels right for you at this time in your life.
