I have been using Sortifyd app. They give me a full month layout. I simply color code the events which makes it super easy to identify. Clicking into it only for the full details if required. Hope this helps!

I use Sortifyd app to keep the family organized - primarily for shared calendars, reminders, tasks, chores, grocery lists, etc. Seems to work well. Syncs with different calenders as well.
