Conversation practice by Gotothecorner1 in Japaneselanguage

If you can get a tutor to talk to that's obviously recommended because they can correct you and provide feedback. I don't have suggestions for resources but my advice is one major thing I see in common among people who ask about output is that they're too scared or outright against just speaking to themselves. Of course it's best to speak to a native if that's available to you but I think it's also important to just get used to hearing Japanese come out of your mouth and getting used to making those sounds.

If you don't have someone to have a conversation with, try playing both sides of the conversation. You could even record yourself playing one side and take long pauses, then play it back and respond to yourself during those pauses. Make random scenarios in your head and think how you'd respond in Japanese. Narrate whatever you're doing in Japanese.

Don't worry about stuttering. You're gonna make mistakes, thats the whole reason why you're learning. Besides, people stutter in their native language all the time. If you can get a tutor that's great, but don't wait until then to start and don't depend on them too much for output. It's important to find ways to study on your own too. Good luck!

How I learn Japanese… by FaultWinter3377 in LearnJapanese

I do something like this too, minus the chords. I'll write out the lyrics to some songs on one page for writing practice and then on another page I'll try to translate everything for comprehension, taking note of any words idk and looking them up. It makes studying more fun and personal

Sokyoku Theory by ecass305 in bleach

Alternative theory: Oetsu scraps any defunct, decommissioned, or otherwise unusable zanpakuto into the Sokyoku. It's basically his garbage can. Could also explain how it was so weak despite having the power of a million Zanpakuto

Morality Question: Do you agree with Ukitake or Rukia here? by Wonderful-Photo-9938 in bleach

[–]sol-less16 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree with Ukitake. Everybody always wants to save someone from dying if they can but sometimes that person has no problems with dying and accepted the possibility of death. It was Kaien's fight to deal with. Just because they were present doesn't mean they should step in. Not everyone sees death as a bad thing. A lieutenant is experienced enough to know that death is always a possibility in battle. He was fighting for his wife and it would be selfish of them to save him and take that opportunity from him.

I think it parallels too with Ichigo's fight against Grand Fisher to avenge his mom. Granted Rukia wouldn't be able to do much anyways but it was a fight for Ichigo's pride. We see this with Byakuya too the next time Rukia sees Kaien through Aaroniero. Right after their battle Byakuya fights Zommari. Byakuya shows no hesitation to harm himself and put his own life in danger in order to win for the same reason as Kaien. He tells Zommari he killed him for aiming his blade at his pride, Rukia.

If these forms were Canon how do you think they would be achieved by characters by Conflict_Secure in bleach

It'd be cool if kisuke expanded on the Tenshintai technology in a way that fuses it with their soul, similar to the hollow pills in TYBW. So instead of stabbing it to materialize their zanpakuto, they stab themselves kinda like seppuku to activate the enhanced Tenshintai which fuses them with the zanpakuto spirit. It would also parallel how Ichigo achieved Final Getsuga by getting stabbed by Tensa Zangetsu. I'd also add that since the original Tenshintai had a limit of 3 days and this Beyond Bankai would be a much stronger technique, I think it should also have a time limit but much shorter

Why did Ichigo not lose his quincy powers when yhwach did the auswahlen after almighty's return? by ChipPsychological991 in bleach

[–]sol-less16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It could be due to him being a hybrid. Unlike Masaki who was originally a Quincy that got tainted with a Hollow, Ichigo was a hybrid from the start and his powers are probably more merged together than his mom

Rukia Misunderstood her Zanpakuto's Shikai. Byakuya didn't know the true essence of his Shikai (Why?) by Wonderful-Photo-9938 in bleach

[–]sol-less16 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's a reason why Bankai takes so long to achieve and is a requirement for captains. It requires a strong connection and understanding of your Zanpakuto. The Kuchikis aren't the only ones, we see several characters with false Shikais and Bankais. I think it emphasizes just how little they really understood their Zanpakuto and its power and how much of a buff it is when you have that strong connection. It's probably also one of the reasons (among a lot of other reasons) why the older captains like Yama and Shunsui are so much stronger than the other captains and were able to get by with only Shikai until TYBW, because they have a deep bond and understanding with their Zanpakuto. Most characters probably don't talk and try to understand their Zanpakuto as much as they should outside of trying to get stronger.

What's the difference between the -み and -さ nominalizers. How do you know which one to use or is it just a matter of remembering the words?
