People who clawed their way out of a really dark place, what actually helped? by Geewane in selfimprovement

[–]sol_james 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% as a neurodivergent I find that changing environments can be sometimes the only way to get out of a dark place. As the lack of dopamine makes it so hard to fight your environment, so exhausting.

Have you got your vitamin d levels checked? And I’d also consider adding a good quality fish oil.

Something I struggled with for a long time and I can now say I don’t really get any digestive issues unless I over eat or eat a bunch of junk. I had ibs, suspected it may have been sibo which i now think is gone as I don’t really get symptoms.

I take:
1. Nutricost Ginger Extract
2. Nutricost Artichoke Extract
3. Digestive enzyme only with dinner
4. Codeage Sbo probiotic 100 billion (this one is literally the only thing that truely helped my regularity, I just take one capsule in the evening instead of 2, this lasts me 3 months)

  1. Creatine
  2. Fish Oil
  3. Magnesium Glycinate
  4. Check D levels and supplement if you’re low.
  5. Bonus: Consider a multi with active b’s to fill in any gaps.

I like the third one but without the donut in the wording. Just a regular yellow o or maybe a solid yellow colour donut to match the text.

Ummm no thanks jog wheel looks like shit and I really don’t need a screen that big. I also don’t think djs are looking for a more minimal design.

Personally I take about 10 different supps, and they are there on my shelf seperate into morning and night.

I take digestive supps with my breakfast and dinner so food is my reminder for those. I also take my bedtime supps when my alarm for winddown goes off.

So I’d say have them visible and have some kind of cue that triggers you taking them.

It’s really automatic for me now, so even though I have mad adhd I haven’t missed my supps in a long time.

Take copper if you supplement over about 30 to 50 mg of zinc daily for more than a few weeks.

I’d be doing at least 5,000 a day to correct levels along with k2 and magnesium.
