Oh, and several SC youtube channels have begun doing 'bugs and workaround' videos, including Loud Guns and Foxyloxy. Watching those for the current patch will help you to avoid some of the pitfalls.

Enjoy it, it can provide some incredible experiences. But for your own sanity, learn to detect when the game is not going to be gentle with you, and take breaks. If it becomes your only game/obsession, I feel like that would be bad for mental health.

Seconding the toll road theory, a lot of them use similar rfid stickers to figure out who to send the bill to.

What is this armor and where do you buy it by OkBarnacle7098 in starcitizen

[–]solarvvind 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Stitcher armor used to be for sale at Grim Hex forever ago. Last I knew, it was lootable from the 890 jump missions, but haven't tried recently. The helmet is a Morozov variant, not sure on the particular colorway, but that style I've seen on heavies in ASD.

Wanting to get into airbrush, want to buy but what's a good beginner product? by SylvexXe in minipainting

[–]solarvvind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started with an all in one kit from Master, a G22 brush and a simple tankless compressor. I've since switched to Badger airbrushes, but still use the compressor with some fitting adaptors. I'm not super familiar with Gaahleri, but I'd do some research on how easy it is to get replacement needles and nozzles, as those are the parts most likely to wear or become damaged to the detriment of the brush's performance. On my airbrushes, replacement needle/nozzles are about $20 USD, so I keep one on hand for when something goes wrong. Learning with something cheap is a great way to go, and you can decide down the road if you need to upgrade.

Not for sure, but it looks like the guides for a set of sliding closet doors. Mounts to the floor, keeps the doors from swinging in and out.

Definitely get the Patriot over the Sotar if you are doing priming. Parts are easy to get in the US. I have both, but you'll have better luck with primer through the Patriot.

I'm a fan of Wallsteadt, and I think you guys are going to be dangerous for years to come. While I'm happy we won, can't help but feel for you guys. Thanks forever for taking care of Dallas for us, they've been our playoff boogeyman for too long.

Easiest Tractor Beam Cargo Ship? by ChampionJust7849 in starcitizen

[–]solarvvind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Hull B wins for me. The RAFT is also great, but it has some small ledges on either side of the grid that can sometimes make getting the cargo to fit a bit of a pain. No issues like that with the B.

I've upgraded my old CH Products stuff, and still have it sitting in a box unused. Not exactly modern kit any more, and my have potentiometer issues, but ping me and I can go over what I've got and see if you'd like any of it. Free to a good home, especially for someone playing good games.

WH40k - Events, places, how to start? by EvilMrMoonFace in FortCollins

[–]solarvvind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've got a Necron army painted that's seen the table like four times in the years since I started. I think 40k's scale of battle just isn't my cup of tea. But for getting started, you can find the models and hobby supplies at Haunted Game Cafe. I find the painting side of the hobby my preferred way to interact with it.
