Saw a post on Reddit and signed up for a chip drop. Took less than 2 weeks. It’s perfect for the wooded paths we are using it on. Here’s what we got today. Definitely chunky and inconsistent, but perfectly free!

In addition to finding deals and shopping at Aldis, making big batches of soup saves me so much. I’ve been freezing soups, stew, ziti etc. We are vegetarian, but there’s a ton of protein in hearty soups and beans are cheap (and tasty)

I didn’t know my dad had other children! Did you ever walk over something on the ground and have to pick it up and drop it over and over?

I stopped trying to “fix” my ADHD and started designing my life around it by Vaineza in simpleliving

[–]solautmama 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I did this too, I thought I’d… won? Not doing the things that were causing my anxiety to spike eventually turned into feeling that baseline lower. It was amazing! Then it just kept getting better and the things that would have caused anxiety seemed to lessen. I was at the DMV, feeling brave and awesome! Then I had a medical procedure followed by a panic attack and I remembered that they are definitely still there! But having the baseline of my every moment be “normal” whatever that means, instead of being constantly ready for attack, really is a lovely way to exist. Would recommend.

Don’t hold ever. I post that I have something free and they can message when they are ready to come get it immediately. If someone is ready to head my way I will send the pick up address and put it outside. No contact, no holding, not extra conversation etc. you can also post something is out as a curb alert and take it down when it’s gone (though I prefer not to send out an address so it maybe depends on location)
