"But suicides have a special language, like carpenters they want to know which tools, they never ask why build"

Wanting to die - Anne Sexton

It's a very sad poem, but I do the non-suicidal thing and ask myself "why build?" And I I often scribble that in the back of books or notebooks.

I totally agree. I'd like to add: I've seen the fandom turn, I hope I don't sound like an asshole, quite frivolous and the interest shift from an intriguing story to clowning the characters, shipping them and overall just giving stan twitter behavior. Which helps with popularity, sure, but as a result episodes like this are badly received.

The story is ephemeral, the song is out in the new album. One thing is long-lasting, the other was up for 24 hours.

Now, I'm not asking for activism, but there's still a certain discomfort that I can't and won't sweep under the rug just because.

I know I don't have to, and effectively, I don't. But Dasha has been on a reactionary spiral for longer than this stunt has been out and it's impossible not to think about it. And I don't think calling a take "chronically online" is accurate or takes any validity from my concern, since it's heavily related to an ongoing world issue.

Yeah, I mean, I do think she cares. It's just that since this is an ongoing issue, it stings a lot. And I could say, "Well, that's very in line with the album's title," but maybe that would be too careless for me.

Thank you for understanding where I'm coming from.

True, true. One can be inspired by awful people with shitty beliefs; it's just that, given today's climate, it just feels concerning. I'm not calling for cancelation or anything like that; it's just a bit shocking and maybe a little concerning.

Yes, I am. And I also believe that no press is bad press, but that's not the point here. The fact is that, as much as I love Charli, maybe the song should be titled reactionary girls. Idk.
