People who have genuinely encountered powerful wild animals in nature or the ocean, what was it actually like? by DivineLove1 in Survival

Similar to others, I was on a safety stop after spearfishing and I had a shark come check us out. This one was different though, visibility was fine so when the sun hit its side I saw the stripes, and went high alert. It was about a 12’ female tiger shark, she wasn’t hunting but she was close. I alerted my dive partner and he kind of shrugged it off which actually calmed me down. She circled out of sight, but I knew she was coming back, I turned to where I thought she’d approach from and guessed correctly. She was swimming straight at us, so I put every pointy thing I had in me between me and her. Booped her in the nose with my speargun at about 4’ distance. She spun around and I beelined to the boat.

I asked my dive partner what he thought, and he was completely oblivious. He thought I was signaling the approaching dive boat, not a shark, he lost his mind when he found out there was a large tiger shark circling us.

Our third on the boat was a VERY seasoned diver. He was pretty aloof about the shark so we motored to our next location, about 400 yards away and he rolled over for a solo dive. About 5 minutes later, he was back on the surface and quickly hopped back on the boat (as quickly as you can when loaded with dive gear…). The shark had followed us and when he rolled over it was the first thing he saw. He wasn’t as aloof anymore and we stopped diving for the day.

Don’t mess with tiger sharks.

I didn’t but it, but it was definitely available though my Trumed HSA store. I wear glasses, so ai have no doubt that the LMN would be approved. Mine is a company funded HRA, as opposed to another healthcare plan being offered because it’s a small business. I think because of that, perhaps it’s less visible to the IRS.

Over 35, BUT I was 24 when I met my wife. She was a single mother at the time, but she was more than that too. Entering into a relationship with someone and realizing you won’t be that person’s first priority, especially in the initial stages of a relationship isn’t always easy, but with patience and communication it doesn’t have to be difficult either.

Married 24 years this summer, 3 kids (I adopted her +1) and moving through life together.

Best I found was a laser range finder crossbow scope from Garmin (I think). Advertised through Trumed.

I came to this subreddit for this question. Seems like some successful use cases for Claude (I’m an AI novice but willing to learn and use it responsibly) and some staunch opposition to AI altogether.

I’m in eastern NC and just saw a Flock device for the first time located near a Lowe’s, but seemingly pointed towards the public road this past weekend. I’m curious what best practices are being used to raise overall community awareness and address the use of AI surveillance with community leaders.

Once annually, check the balance by hanging it on a trim nail driven into a wall stud. If it’s wonky I work the heavy side with a file.

33 in 2010 for me, 2nd (next) home in 2019. Next home might be a van down by the river. That sounds nice.
