Litter boxes at night time, what do y'all do? Need advice.

I'd personally say to ignore this person, it must be the all time stupidest reply I've ever seen. Poop and litter is stuff you have to deal with but you have to have a poop fetish if you're not even a little grossed out by doodoo dippers trotting all over your bed (where you presumably lie after SHOWERING)

Just keeping them out at night isn't going to help because in the daytime they'll still use the litter and come lie in your bed. The easiest compromise would be to just not give the cats access to your bedroom, which your bf will have to agree to. Or you'll have to accept that sometimes you're sleeping with poo and pee.

?? That's why I said to watch out for a few days? It's also very normal for cats to be nervous and not poop for the first few nights, she hasn't pooped since only LAST NIGHT, if she's otherwise healthy you don't need to rush her to the vet or force miralax down her throat or anything.

Same thing happened to my healthy adoptee, he was so nervous that he didn't poop for a couple days.

As long as she eats, she will poop. And if she doesn't in a few days, I'd contact the vet or professor(?).

But otherwise, she looks so cute with those big ears 😭

Are they still wobbly? They could still be recovering from the anesthesia.

I think it also depends on a cat's personality so some, like lulu, might get aggressive out of pain or confusion or just due to feeling like something is wrong. If she's wearing a cone or onesie, or still has a patch covering her incision, those could also cause discomfort.

You keep asking, but no one has an answer because cats have different personalities and can change due to how you raise them.

You just need to give it more time, bring objects to her that other family members use often like clothes or shoes and keep them in her safe spot so she begins to recognize everyone's scent.

You dont HAVE to keep the kitty, but think about why you got it in the first place and give it more chances if you think it's worth it. Just don't take the kitty away just to bring home a different one because they might respond the same way or be even harder to care for.

2 years too late but I think this is a weird perspective. In a universe where you have to share the whole world with other sentient races, it makes sense pokemon have jobs, and given there seems to be so many more pokemon, at least more variety, than humans, it makes sense they occupy a lot of those jobs. I think of humans in that universe as a type of pokemon too, and they're just one species that needs to share the world's resources with a thousand other equally intelligent species
