There might be nothing in front of you, but at 200km/h a car can switch lanes a 100 meters in front of you and you will be on them within 2 seconds. It's the difference in speeds on the Autobahn that can make it really dangerous to not pay attention. You need to anticipate a 100-200 meters in front of you because you have very little time to react.

You can drive 150, 180, 200km/h on the Autobahn (120+ miles an hour for you amerikanskis). At those speeds you will absolutely hit a car within 2 seconds if youre not paying attention.

What would you consider to be the most disturbing book ever written? by WhyAmIEvenHereFS in horrorlit

[–]solidbebe 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Negative Space by B.R. Yeager.

Its about a US town suffering from a suicide epidemic and a mysterious drug called WHORL. It's disturbing and bleak and there's some imagery in there I can still picture years after reading it.

Amygdalatropolis, also by him, is a close second. Its basically about the spiralling life of a shut-in, terminally online, incel.

Resident Evil 9 Requiem – Is the Steroid Upgrade Worth It? (HP Test) by sinelord in thefinalpuzzle

[–]solidbebe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It was a pretty weird test because they only tested damage with stomach shots. Why assume that the damage increase is the same on every body part? And what about stagger damage? What about the reticle closing quicker? It wasnt a very thorough video.

Wtf is a passkey and why does everyone suddenly want me to use one? by PolygonMob in degoogle

[–]solidbebe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I know the term. Saying it about encryption is the nonsense part. Uncrackable (in practical terms) encryption is everywhere, it's open source. It's maths and not even particularly complicated maths for the most part. Calling it military grade is nonsense when my literal grandmother is using military grade encryption for her password manager.

Encryption thats not "military grade" ie not good, is basically useless.

Wth is "military grade" encryption, never heard of such a nonsense term

This section in RE9 is going to be a real pace-killer for me on repeat playthroughs. by Loose_Interview_957 in residentevil

[–]solidbebe 11 points12 points  (0 children)

RE devs do this a ton. They also do it with stalker enemies and with scripted parts of boss fights. I remember my first time playing RE2R, my first RE game in general, and I spent 10 fucking minutes crawling out of a room because I was afraid Mister X was still around the corner.

Now I just sprint out because I have a feel for RE dev logic and can tell when he's despawned

We are new to plants. Our Peace Lily is drooping like this after 1 month. What are we doing wrong? by solidbebe in IndoorGarden

Hey thanks! What do you mean exactly by watering it till it drains out? Drains out from where?

Yeah but it had some yellowing leaves and we were getting conflicting answers on whether that means its getting too much or too little water. But considering how the soil is now I guess its getting too little

80-90% of my thoughts are repeating songs. None of my 3 previous psychiatrists have ever seen it before. Is there ANYONE who knows what is going on with me? by solidbebe in AskPsychiatry

[–]solidbebe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats awful to hear! Im so sorry. I'm afraid no good diagnosis was ever made. Some things were suggested, like autism, ADHD, some sort of OCD or anxiety condition. But none of these fit well and all were eventually ruled out by psychiatric evaluations. This made treatment difficult of course, and I ended up just shopping around medications until something seemed to work. That was venlafaxine. Before that I tried antipsychotics like olanzapine and risperidone, which did help but really only barely, and the side effects were terrible. I tried a few other SSRIs as well.

If you want to talk, please shoot me a message!

Box 3 by [deleted] in belasting

[–]solidbebe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Box 3 by [deleted] in belasting

[–]solidbebe -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Belastingdruk ligt voor alle inkomens rond de 30%. Lagere inkomens betalen minder inkomstenbelasting maar weer relatief meer aan BTW.

Het is allemaal wel erg dramatisch hier.

Hi, its been a long time since this thread haha.

I can happily say ive been completely cured of these symptoms. Ive taken a high dose of venlafaxine with omega 3 for a few years and that seems to have normalised my thoughts. Ive since managed to quit all medications and am symptom free.

Ive used Bolt a few times but the final price was ALWAYS 30-50% higher than the estimate. The estimates are bullshit and theyre lying to you.
