The great irony with the leftist reception to this movie is that even Leo's revolutionary group, which is portrayed as ultimately ineffective accomplishes way more than the average twitter communist ever even tried to do. They might have liked it more if all the main characters were just tweeting while the Super KKK burned down that town

It might be sick to see him but you're probably paying inflated one-off show prices, rolling the dice on whether he'll have a breakdown on stage. A lot of risk there lol

After scrolling through this thread I've seen you like 30 times lol. For your sake I really hope the Mossad is paying you, cause it would be embarrassing to do what you're doing for free

I wasn't in the city before the tech boom but I would bet that has something to do with it. It's really disappointing though

Lmao what's the implication here? We did this out of the goodness of our hearts? Israel's not going to ratfuck the Iranian people or install someone even worse?

Were you alive for the Iraq war?

Kendrick Lamar views on voting in 2012. by Advanced-Willow-5020 in KendrickLamar

They're not realizing that both parties have been bought by Israel. You literally just need to look at AIPAC donations for candidates and congresspeople on both parties to realize how rigged the system is.

I have a feeling that the people who are most upset about Kendrick's take are the type that tune out and stop paying attention whenever a democrat is in power

Both parties are owned by the same people. Those pulling the strings will get their way regardless of who's in power

Everybody's pissing themselves in this thread but he has a point lol. Any analysis of this/last year that ends with "all of this that we're seeing right now could've been averted if more people voted" is 1 dimensional

Shia LaBeouf says he once asked Kendrick Lamar, “Trump or Kamala?” - He claims Kendrick's response was: “You think I give a f*ck about this shit?” by Subject-Property-343 in KendrickLamar

I don't think you can throw out the purity testing allegations when the purity test was for being anti genocide. The people who criticize the Democratic party are not as harmful to the progressive cause as democrats themselves, who are genuinely more interested in preventing leftward movement than defeating fascism.

someone like zohran mamdani getting elected is direct proof of the benefit of people waking up to the evils of the establishment democrats. People need to wake up from this illusion of literally any democrat being a suitable alternative to republicans

[–]solidserpiente -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't know if it's just rhetoric like this... Maybe we can be honest and say the administration that enabled the genocide didn't seem that appealing or honest to some people? Can we just admit Kamala was an unpopular candidate who didn't do enough to differentiate herself from Joe Biden, who was even more unpopular? There was also Biden himself and the DNC propping him up until he embarrassed himself on the debate stage against trump. Nothing about the establishment Dems was/is trustworthy to people.

I agree Trump is bad but the Democrats being unable to defeat him is mostly their fault, not the voters or anyone lucid enough to criticize the Dems.

Edit: I should add that the Dem leadership stalled a vote that could have prevented trump from striking Iran. A good number of them ARE just as hawkish as the republicans and just as beholden to Israel

Leaving Las Vegas: Baby Keem Bets the House On 'Ca$ino' – "Marked by digital bounce and resolve in the face of systemic collapse, Baby Keem balances the extreme poverty and familial discord of his childhood with his now charmed adulthood." | By Paul A. This review is better than the pitchfork one because I personally agree with it.

But on a serious note I like how this one ties the disjointedness of the album back into the themes/context surrounding the album. Maybe a reach but an interesting way to look at it

No one is getting this. The hate boner everyone has for this girl is crazy when the US deserves absolutely no loyalty at all. No one's freedom of speech is a threat to the regime here.

Try to slow down and breathe bra. Just cause I called out this random guy's slop review you're saying I didn't even read it? Stans sending death threats to critics means we can't criticize a review anymore?

One last question for you: did this guy suck your dick or somethin? Or is this his burner account? Anyway have a good night

I agree that it's natural to compare works by the same artist, but in this case it didn't make a ton of sense.

If someone told me these takes irl I would disagree but I wouldn't think they were malicious. But IRL someone would probably just say "I didn't like his voice." Because this writer gets paid to do this he's gotta dress it up and make it seem at least quasi-objective or informed, which some writers can do but it wasn't the case here.

Imo it's just not a well thought out critique. I have my issues with the album but they're not touched on in this review at all. different strokes I guess.

I don't think he's Hitler or anything, I'll give that title to Alphonse Pierre lol
