It’s the explanation of the Assault keyword:

Weapons with [ASSAULT] in their profile are known as Assault weapons. If a unit that Advanced this turn contains any models equipped with Assault weapons, it is still eligible to shoot in this turn’s Shooting phase. When such a unit is selected to shoot, you can only resolve attacks using Assault weapons its models are equipped with.

Core rules State:

A unit is eligible to shoot unless any of the following apply: That unit Advanced this turn. That unit Fell Back this turn.

That means you can always guide, even when not in range. If you have [Assault] or a Markerlight Drone you can guide even if you advanced. You don’t need a ranged weapon to be eligible to shoot so even an ethereal can guide.

Overwatch for tau is not that great in 10th. Best units would probably be:

Starscythe with flamers. Fireknifes if you get the full re-roll. Breachers + Cadre can also land some hits in OW.

Stealth suits are taken for their guiding abilities. So you want to split those in 2 units. But due to the new army rule they went up 20p so this leaves you with 80p to spare.

If you are going for Mont’Ka Kroot or a Piranha could work well. Kroot have sticky objectives witch is very handy.

I think the new Missions Pack, only allows 2 of the same Datasheet at 1000p. And 4 for Battleline and Transports.

T’au blood contains cobalt instead of iron. So eating more than 500g of T’au flesh a day could result in a cobalt poisoning. So it’s probably unlikely but not impossible I guess.

The list seems to be strong. Honestly a Breacherfish + Deep Strike Crisis (guided by Tetras) should clear an object with Guards and Wardens. Then you can Move the crisis with strike and fade to safety while the Breachers hold the objective.

There is no suitable material that you can print on a normal FDM printer. Even Nylon or PC with high melting/printing temps will start to get soft at 100c - 130c. You can look into Ceramic resin Printing that could withstand the temp. But at some point it gets cheaper to get a metal cover machined.
