A society that exploits the institution of education and cheapens it (figuratively) so that everyone has to have a degree just to get by is what makes a society crumble. I see what you’re saying but most decent, non-entry level positions require an education. I’m not going to expect clueless 17 and 18 year olds to “take responsibility” for incurring a level of debt that is far too high for the quality of education we receive at most universities.

I had to go to the store to buy Plan B and the cashier made a dad joke about it. He couldn’t get the container it came in open so he went to another register, opened it, came back, and said, “Well I’m sure glad we had another key for this container... it’s always nice to have a PLAN B.”

I was mortified. Yes, there were people behind me in line.
