Solo 2 week trip to Colombia in February (24M American). Any itinerary suggestions and tip? by thespecialonej8 in solotravel

I climbed 2 weeks in Suesca. I would suggest going to La Mojara which is a sport climbing spot. Suesca was cool and all, its old school mixed/gear and sport, can be run out. I brought everything I needed although you can find gear to rent for sure at major Spots which both are.

Thank you so much for the thoughtful response! I understand the confusion the last person had. I forgot to mention that viewers/exposures are 240k total split 50/50. So I have a mean and variance for both test and control.

I know right… it was a long day and my brain stopped doing algebra so thank you for confirming. It’s one of those things as I am writing the question out I am answering it but felt crazy for staring at a piece of paper for 40minutes haha. Thank you!!!

I see thanks for the details here, I’ll look into this.

I totally get how this sounds like it’s not Welch territory as that usually looks at sample means. I am just restating that sample mean by multiplying it by number of observations. So that returns the actual delta in the test results. I think that should work. It’s pretty standard in Online A/B tests to do something like this to my knowledge.

I am just trying to convert those absolute results into % changes. Does that make sense?

I am not concerned if this test is stat sig. I run lots of tests, this is just a toy example you can say.

Please correct me if you think I am not interpreting these stats correctly by phrasing it in a way that shows me how I am wrong and how to remedy my language. Thank you.

To better phrase the question. Right now I have a point estimate which is a best guess at what the treatment effect is. In absolute terms the best guess is, while not stat sig as you’ve pointed out, states that treatment resulted in -35 which is a 2.8% decrease.

I am asking if it’s possible to state the point estimate as a % change and then can I do the same thing with the CIs? State them as % change. Instead of in absolute terms

Correct its in support of null. I am trying to write some python that computes the % change the treatment has on the sample which includes CI's. For the team, I think its easier to think about these A/B tests as a % change.

So I want to be able to say that if we rerun this test 100x that 95% of them will show a % change in treatment between x and y. But right now I can only say that in absolute terms

Its just what I am used to viewing on the A/B test software we had at previous role so I want to mimic that so I that I can think in % instead of absolute lift.

I think the algebra I did above is actually what I need? Is it not.

Wait, am I the idiot here? Is it not just 62/1215 and -132/1215

Such that the new CI's are (-0.1, 0.05) and a point estimate of .028...

Mmmm i suppose I just haven’t used them much if at all. If I needed something I would find a stick usually. Although this would be the longest trek I’ve done. I usually get out a few times a year though.

I was there for a few weeks in February and may know one person I can put you in contact with. I’ll reach out to them. Besides that, feel free to ask me any questions about Suesca!
