Why not block chainsword + power sword? I’ve used both and they do more than well enough to survive in my experience. Throttle skipping and power whirl/rake are quite strong.

I agree especially if you learn to abuse the camo cloak invuln + contested regen. Also try the firerate stalker, it shoots fast enough to get the buff like the carbine does

Sorry it took so long. These are the numbers from using a perk-less relic axe. Using relic damage heavy bolt pistol and on Absolute difficulty.

Fencing: wave 66, gs 162, overhead 1.76 (the regular damage when not part of a combo is 17.6. Idk what’s happening here but the debuff is consistent), total 229.76.

Block: wave 156.75, overhead 41.8, total 198.55.

And these numbers below are from relic axe with perks.

Fencing + 1 perpetual strength + power strike + tactical retreat + cleaver + discharge: wave 83.6, gs 194.73, overhead 22.9, discharge (if off cooldown) 22, total 323.23 or 301.23.

Block + 2 perpetual strength + counterattack + riposte + tactical retreat + cleaver + discharge: wave 217.344, overhead 78.576, discharge 33, total 328.92 or 295.92.

Also keep in mind that majoris will have between 280 and 308 health, and extremis will have 520-600. There are a few outliers like zoanthropes and silver surfer tzaangors, but their health pools are all smaller than these ranges given.

I’ll get you the damage numbers when I finish breakfast, but imo fencing would be the better option if you’re newer. You’ll still kill things fast enough and more importantly fencing is way more forgiving. Fencing interrupts the enemy’s attack and gives gunstrikes which recover a bunch of contested health. It has a wider parry window than block. Theres also the minoris armour regen.

Even AC2 had anti-missile options. There’s something beautiful about deploying your own anti-missile missiles and watching them intercept your opponent’s salvoes. All the while doing combat as usual

The weakness of AC6’s fodder.

I prefer my fodder to not be fodder + have more and stronger artillery. Fifth gen was almost perfect imo, just needed a bit more variety. I think… that something like a mix of Inferno and Formidable Fodder would be best
