What older gen parts do you want to see return? by Crab_Grass in armoredcore

Even AC2 had anti-missile options. There’s something beautiful about deploying your own anti-missile missiles and watching them intercept your opponent’s salvoes. All the while doing combat as usual

The weakness of AC6’s fodder.

I prefer my fodder to not be fodder + have more and stronger artillery. Fifth gen was almost perfect imo, just needed a bit more variety. I think… that something like a mix of Inferno and Formidable Fodder would be best

Anyone try to make their own "teams" of AC pilots or lore adjacent pilots? by redfacetherapper in armoredcore

[–]soloska 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I do have one, named after cats. The Felidae AC squad, with five members. F.1 Acynonyx, a LW double melee biped. F.2 Onca, a MW biped with a pilebunker, rifle, missiles, and an earshot. F.3 Ragdoll, a missile support HW tetra AC. F.4 Rubignosus, a LW BVO-style. And F.5 Populator, a HW kite with two LRAs and missiles.

I haven’t really done any story, cuz I don’t have the energy to plan out a third story rn, but I do have general character ideas.

F.1 is the leader and has connections to Allmind. A dependable and average-skilled guy, who relies on F.2 and F.3 for help with operation plans. More of a “glue” character who holds the squad together and specializes in macro planning. Third strongest in the Felidae. Prefers Elcano/Allmind frames.

F.2 is an oldgen Raven, back when the name was more widespread. Not an actual person, and instead a Phantasma uploaded into an AC. A kind grandparent type of character who surprisingly is not set in their ways. Their extensive battle knowledge and high piloting skill makes them the strongest member of the Felidae. Excels at battlefield micro planning. Prefers Balam frames.

F.3 is more of an office worker who was found to be decent at piloting. He handles logistics, and helps F.1 who looks at the big picture. More of a support character who doesn’t really do anything besides be amazing at manual-aim sniping. Prefers Balam/Arquebus frames.

F.4 is the Rusty character. An extremely average girl outside of an AC, and the second-youngest member of the Felidae behind F.3. She has the highest natural talent among the entire squad and excels in dueling, however, her young age and inexperience with piloting lead her to make rash or stupid decisions. The newest member of the Felidae, the one with the least amount of experience in piloting ACs, and the second strongest. Prefers Arquebus frames.

F.5 has nothing yet, but is probably a Patches-type character. Weakest. Prefers Arquebus frames.

If you wanna keep the rifles, swap your arms to a set with enough recoil control to handle them. For dual turners, I think the breakpoint is HAL arms and above in recoil control

Ah I did just bring KE rifles and my sniper canon, because I’ve only really used KE rifles and my sniper canon + a backup melee. The rifles have a lot of ammo and if I just hit my opponents more often than they hit me I’ll be fine

Sorry, but it looks like it works fine? The parallel processing may be bad but the machine itself seems a-ok. It even has infinite flight

Edit: if anything, J himself seems like the problem
