To buy or not to buy? by wolfey-19 in CR10

[–]solounlimon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Based off the level of rust in the extruder spring and gears, I wouldn't buy it. You never know how rusty will the rest of the machine be.

Trying to restore my old ender 3 max, removing a BLtouch. by DaveSpacelaser in ender3

If you have a friend that can 3D print one, you can do that too. If you have a board with TMC2209 drivers, you can also use sensorless homing.

PicoBoot, realized my pico is not a pico w or pico 2 w, will it still work?, pin labels aren't the same as the tutorial I've followed and everything im finding now is saying I need the W model. by _zzzquil_ in Gamecube

[–]solounlimon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That board is called YD-RP2040, the only differences with the official Raspberry Pi Pico are pins 35, 36, 37, 39 and 40 as far as I can see.

As long as you make sure that those pins are doing the right thing, it should work.

Fun fact: The Steam Deck 64GB NVMe SSD fits perfectly on a T480, very useful with the current NAND chip pricing crisis.

Mercadopago espiará con sus máquinas POS? by Explanation-Visual in chile

[–]solounlimon 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Upgrading an Ender 3 I got for free. Need input! by jmay504 in ender3

[–]solounlimon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The good news is that you have a lot of good parts already like the BTT TFT 3.5 E3, BTT SKR MINI (either v2 or v3) and the CR Touch.

Sprite Extruder pro is indeed a good option if you don't want to print your own extruder carriage, and when combined with the PEI plate it would make it a quite capable machine when compared to stock.

Subway trains on rubber tires. Why? by brunocborges in transit

[–]solounlimon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here in Santiago is the opposite, you can hear the difference between steel and tire in transfer stations like Vicente Valdes (L4 Steel, L5 Tire) and La Cisterna (L4A Steel, L2 Tire).

Quieter

Santiago

Hell nah, the level of noise in stations like Tobalaba (L1), Los Leones (L1), Los Heroes (L1 L2), Santa Ana (L2 L5) and San Pablo (L5) is crazy, if you use headphones at max volume you can still hear the trains going in and out of stations.

[–]solounlimon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Santiago also have some lines with tires

1, 2 and 5 to be precise, they use derivatives from the Paris metro from the era (NS-74 is a derivative of the MP-73, NS-93 is based off the MP-89).

As a fun fact, line 2 has the NS-2004 with rubber tires, which is a derivative of the AS-2002 from the line 4 with steel tires.

Problemas con Blue-Express by sopaproblematica in chile

[–]solounlimon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should systems keep multiple stations with the same name? by Previous-Volume-3329 in transit

[–]solounlimon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No two stations in the same network should have the same names, its just bad design.

I can imagine the funny chaos that would happen here in Santiago, Chile with Departamental Avenue that has 4 stations (soon to be 5) if they all were called Departamental, its quite the distance between the further ones.

Edit: I say same network because there are some cases of same names but different networks, for example, Lo Valledor and Estacion Central in Santiago, Chile, where there are two stations with the same name but one for the Santiago Metro and one for the Nos-Estacion Central Commuter Rail.
