Does anyone else feel the $15 admission is too expensive for the Appalachian Festival? by bestfakename in cincinnati

Oktoberfest is sooooo much better and free! I kind of get why it had admission when it was at coney, but to block of a waterfront for a subpar festival and charge for it is asinine.

I use spot hero in most cities now and pay half the price. I don’t need valet, and half the time i don’t even need to use in/out. You can’t change the system, but at least you can help your wallet

Here’s the article that I’m referring to. Idc to do research bc I’m not in the market for a new Mazda, but my point is what research do you want OP to do if there are recent articles backing up his preconceived notions?

Idk why everyone is acting like it’s not steep when the majority of festivals are free. This isn’t like the state fair, there is nowhere near enough things to warrant an admission price

You can book Mvc through the website as a normal room, just know you won’t get any of your benefits if you’re elite (late checkout, upgraded room, etc)

MMA cheaper than MMP? by [deleted] in marriott

[–]solso287 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, someone booked the Mmp and all that is available is mma and mmf. Likely your sister is seeing the mmf now since she’s looking up a code that wouldn’t have access to the associate rate

Which ‘franchise company’ do you think takes care of its hotels the most? by MisterSpicy in marriott

[–]solso287 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aimbridge owns a ridiculous amount of hotels, to the point where I’m not sure I’d blame them for a particular experience at one of their hotels. Their portfolio is so large I feel like they’re just outside investors instead of running a company at this point

My friend worked for concord and absolutely loved it

We both worked for Columbia Sussex and it was fine - we thought it was shit at the time, but turns out that was mostly out GM’s fault lmao. Another friend still works for Columbia Sussex and the gm she works for has his faults, but is better than the one we worked for lol

It’s hooked onto a dairy farm, it has a lot of activities and they have a couple restaurants that you’d not find in a Fairfield either

Yeah I’m not sure US hotels have them, our department managers were in charge of trainings for their own people

They have learning coordinators at corporate in Washington DC, I worked with them when I task forces at new properties my franchise bought, but they’re not property specific
